Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Clear orange - gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and soft, pretty modest carbonation for a keg beer. Soft malts, light creamy sweetness. Mellow hop skunk into smooth pine. Resinous citrus underneath. Bitterish citric peel. Soft finish. Spicy pine linger. It’s a nice beer but curiously, like Bloody Notorius (also on tap tonight) it seems pretty light on carbonation. Also lacks a little citric hop brightness compared to the best.
Sampled @ London Craft Beer Festival 2017. A clear amber beer with a small white head. Aroma of fruity hops reddish malt, peach. Taste of peach, bitter fruity hops, reddish malt, long bitter finish. Leighton (22329) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2016
Keg at Mother Kelly’s - Bethnal Green. Pours clear, deep gold with a frothy, pure white head. Plump and juicy citrus fruits in the aroma, orange and tangerine, some pine. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of alcohol, bitter and pily pine, ripe orange, melon, papaya, mango. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Resinous and warming on the finish, with lots more ripe, juicy and decadent citrus and tropical fruit character, and balancing grassy and piney bitterness. Great DIPA. Keg at the Hop Locker, 28/04/17.
Golden orange with a well appointed off white head.
Nose is caramel, bitter otange, citric tinged straw, mango, cantaloupe melon.
Taste comrpises light caramel malt, toasted brioche, mango, mixed tropical fruit medley, orange pith.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with juicy hop bitterness.
Decent enough well balanced DIPA but no wow factor when compared with some of the more recent DIPA’s to hit the shelves in the UK. harrisoni (19348) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2016
On tap at the brewery Bermondsey. Hazy copper amber colour lasting off white head. Big peach tropical fruit aroma. Pineapple mango passionfruit. Really hoppy. Lovely. Brewery has come on leaps and bounds from the start and producing easy drinking lovely beers. Excellent some bitterness. A little warmth from the abv. Good.
