Can at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Vague barnyard aroma. Pale hazy gold. Thin white head. At first I thought it was extremely bubbly. I then realised that these bubbles were static - a case of small floating bits if sediment. Was suspicious at this point and spotted that the can was BB 11/04, so a week or so ago. Gave it a go - light bitter, some salty umami. A hint of citrus but minimal. Light bodied. Watery. Lively carbonation. Dry finish. Was not sure about this, will have to try again as this particular can just seemed past it. Had been in a vibrating fridge for too long perhaps. Anyway, got my £4.40 back. Bar manager wasn’t pleased about the BB date as they’d only had them a short time. SilkTork (5801) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2017
330ml can, filtered, from Tesco. This is quite hop forward, with prominent, but not aggressive, use of modern hops. There is a fair degree of tropical fruit in the aroma, though this is somewhat muddled in the beer itself so comes across as tasting like tinned fruit juice. There is little awareness of the malt - it presents as a cheap low abv lager, like a European Fosters or something. It’s drinkable, but a little dirty and grubby. The best thing about this is the aroma. Paulskeff (7) - IRELAND - APR 11, 2017 does not count
Can from M&S Pours a slightly hazy gold colour. The description on the can gives the impression of an intensely hoppy session IPA, but the reality is a bit watery for my taste.
Lacking in any malt flavour and the lack of a head on the beer makes it a bit of a dull affair. Mishnok (375) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2017
330ml can from M&S. Good fruity aroma. Amber coloured with not much head. A bit of caramel, biscuit and not too much hoppy bitterness. Not a bad session IPA.

Can, from Tesco. Gold, thin short lived white head and low condition. Low metallic and citrusy hop resin and a slight honeyed sweetness in the nose, quite oily in the mouth with a gentle hop resin bitterness , a muted citrus lemon note and low caramel sweetness. Finish is muted and bitter with a slightly peppery spiciness. Tinaccio (469) - Milano, ITALY - MAR 23, 2017
