COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shape Shifter West Coast IPA is inspired by our love of hops. Aggressive dry hopping with Citra, Mosaic & Centennial imparts intense flavours and aromas of mango, grapefruit and pineapple.

The definition of flat is something with a smooth level surface, something touching with as many points as possible, something that doesn't vary, or something that is dull in taste or appearance. An example of flat is the surface of a table. An example of flat is someone laying down with their head, back, legs and heals touching the ground. An example of flat is a flat rate for the pricing of any service performed.

Can from Asahiya. Stinky, earthy hop aroma, ith stone fruit, citrus, caramel, and tropical fruit. Hazy light amber/orange color. Tropical fruit flavors, with peaches, thick ctirus puree, pine, and a moderately dry and fairly bitter finish. Medium body. Seems half West Coast and half rural Midwestern US agricultural acreage. Quite juicy and a bit dank.

Catching up on notes from my internet-free holiday. This was a can on the train. The nose was fizzy sherbet grapefruit and sweet malt. To taste it was all mellow earthy bitterness (I wondered if the principal hop might be Saaz. Nope. I read the can, and that's not listed. But maybe the Continental is similar to Saaz?) Aaaanyway, this is good stuff.

alteregoo (1677) - Kalisz, POLAND - OCT 12, 2017
Piana nieduża, szybko opada do firanki. Kolor złoty, klarowny. W zapachu cytrusy, białe owoce, nafta i siano. W smaku półwytrawne, tu także cytrusy, winogron, zioła, nafta. Goryczka średnia, grejpfrutowo żywiczna. Średnie wysycenie, rześkie i nieźle pijalne.
Bardzo fajne West Coast IPA, gładziutkie, bardzo w stylu, może przydałoby się tylko nieco intensywniej w zapachu...

0,33 l Can citrus, spruce, golden, slightly hazy, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, long finish, a little bit "thin" but still a very good one.

My can was 5.9% version. Pours fairly clear amber with a big off white head. Aroma is a sweet tropical fruits, peach, banana, mango, slight spice. Taste is heavy sweet mango, orange, leading to a slight bitterness, finishing nice and malty. Low carbonation, medium bodied. Lovely stuff!

simontomlinson (556) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - SEP 29, 2017
Thin off white head left a cover on a hazy golden coloured body. Soapy, malty aroma - Not good! Medium bodied, cloying & minimal carbonation. Very soft on the palate. Fake citrus, bitter hops - very "false" tasting. This is really poor.

Barwa złota, piana średnia. Aromat owoce tropikalne, cytrusowe i żywica. W smaku owoce tropikalne. Pifko raczej wytrawne z lekką goryczką cytrusową. Spoko pifko.

Draft @ Duck & Waffle, London, under house name Holy Duck IPA.

330ml bottle (Ales By Mail) at 5.9% (6:4:6:3:12=3.1)
Bright misty orange, large frothy head, fairly persistent. Huge stinky fruity citrussy hop aroma. Light palate, fairly soft, I'm surprised there's no wheat given the feel and the head. Bold fruity citrussy hoppy taste, backed up with some pale malts, a touch starchy. Finish slightly chemical and harsh, almost acrid bitterness.
