On tap at Fox and Hound Willowbrook. Has an copper amber color with a small frothy white head. Very good sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet raisin malt and grain. The taste is a caramel malt with a dry finish. A good amber ale from Fox and Hound. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2008
This poured a pretty nice red color with an off white head. Aroma was really bland not much there but mainly plain malts. Flavor was also really watery, pretty plain a little roastedness, sweet malts and tiny hints of fading hops not very good. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Drank at the Fox and Hound in Lake Highlands. The beer pours a reddish color with a white head. The aroma is full of malt with some bread and toffee. The flavor is also heavy on the malt. I get a lot of toffee and caramel with a little bit of nuttyness and grass mixed in. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Fox and Hound is not known for having a good beer selection, but this beer is actually not too bad. cheap (6082) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2008
Hey, cool. a red unexpected ale but its really kind of pale yellow from the looks. Free 6 oz sample at the Fox & Hound in North Pgh. Rather interesting, nice mild hop bite. Fun, some unexpected hay. Easy to enjoy, likable and not over the top. Qyuite interesting, glad to have had the chance to taste this. Different yet enjoyable. Good finish which is not too bitter yet bitter enough to let you know it is a little hoppy. Leaning away from pale lager fer sure. nearbeer (5601) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 23, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Draft at Bailey’s in Knoxville, TN. Nose of sweet malt and light vinegar. Clear amber with a lasting creamy foam and nice lacing. Taste is caramel, light marshmallow and earthy funk. Creamy smooth, light-medium body is easily quaffed.

On tap at the Fox and Hound in Lewisville, TX. The color is amberish with a decent head for a kegged beer. The smell is malts, caramel, sort of sweet, and basic. The taste is was dry biscuits, malts, caramel, and sort of boring. Cavie (4805) - Arlington, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2009
Tap. Amber rust color. Dusty smell. Some malts come through but it’s mostly adjuncts. Taste is caramel sweet with a corny backbone. Finish is crisp. Too macro in quality. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2011

Draft at Fox and Hound near Wake Forrest. Not awful, but very far from being a good amber. Pours a clear topaz with fair off-white head. Sweet malt aroma was not offensive. Malty and bitterness in the flavor and a bit earthy. Astringent, Metallic, and cloying in the finish. Try it only to gain a rating.
