UPDATED: JAN 22, 2011 Pour from a 12 oz. bottle at Wine and Cheese Place. Looks like I unwittingly just tried my first perry. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small, fizzy white head that vanishes quickly. Still a lot of bubbles visible in the glass, though. Notes of pears, sugar, alcohol and oak. Maybe a little bot of apples, too. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a dry, sweet mouthfeel. Pretty refreshing, and I dig the pear element. I’d like to try more perry and see what the style can do. Butters (4062) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 23, 2010
Bottle pours a very pale yellow but very brilliantly clear, no head. Nose is sweet honeysuckle and lavendar. Flavor is very sweet, fruity pebbles. Highly carbonated pear juice. Not bad, but wouldn’t want more. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 17, 2010

7/30/10. 12oz bottle into a flute. Very clear, very light yellow pour with a fizzy white head that’s gone instantly. High, tickling carbonation bites the nose as you go in for a whiff, followed by sweet apple and pear notes. The flavor is generic sweet cider, a touch of pear, a nice tartness, a hint of yeastiness, and a little creamy. Not bad.

Clear. Sweet, light palate. Sweetness is not overwhelming. A little yeast, not too bad. It isn’t too sweet. At Beer Dabbler, 2010, served by Crispin Cider. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUL 24, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear brilliant gold with no head. This is not a still cider and is in fact lightly effervescent. Pleasant aroma of pears. The flavor is pears with just a bit of spiciness to it. Dries out a bit at the finish with just a kiss of sweetness. Light effervescence keeps this bright on the palate. Enjoyable, especially on a hot afternoon like today. beerandIT (300) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUL 19, 2010
Light bodied with no real head. I smell pears and well more pears. Pretty much all I can taste is the pears. Light fresh mouth feel. Great for the summer. Very nice but I have to say that I have never rated a cider. obguthr (6824) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Nice floral pear aroma that leans toward new plastic/chemical, but is somehow still pleasant. Clear champagne colored, little carbonation visible. Honeysuckle, pear, and cotton candy flavor. Creamsicle finish. Wow, there are some really neat things happening in this perry. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. As different as hefeweizens are to lagers this is to ordinary perries. Super! Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 2, 2010
Bottled sample at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear pale yellow color with no head. Very big, intense, perfumey pear aroma. Fairly sweet. The taste is sweet and dry pear notes with a slightly earthy texture. Light and refreshing.
