COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Naturally fermented using "Forbidden Fruit" wit yeast and unpasteurized fresh-pressed organic pear juice. Secondary fermentation using sparkling wine yeasts rounds out this bright loose-limbed natural beauty.

bhensonb (15093) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 22, 2012
Bomber from the Folsom Whole Foods. Pours hazy gold with a few white bubbles. Aroma is sort of floral/pear. Near med body. Flavor is pear, but sort of like thereís a grain component. Itís very dry, and moderately bitter. Some pear skin comes out in the finish.

Tmoney99 (14372) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle. Poured clear light pale color with a minimal sparkling white head that mostly diminished with virtually no lacing. Medium pear fruit aroma. Light to medium body with a thin smooth dry texture and soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet pear flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Worth having once.

Drake (13651) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Sampled from a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with no head. Grainy pear aroma with a white wine note. The taste is dry grain pears, wine and a sweet finish. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Standard across the board and light in color and body, but with a soft palate and color that is pleasantly pear if not very complex or exciting.

DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Bomber. Pours fizzy turbid straw colored with minimum off-white head. Nose is rich earthy apple, cinnamon, honey. Tastes rich, earthy, with a crisp apple flavor. Not too tart or too sweet, with notes of honey, cinnamon, and fresh baked pie crust in the finish.

22oz bottle, shared with Kevin B. Forget where I picked this up from - my local Kroger, maybe. Mostly hazy amber orange color. No head. Tastes very flat, very little carbonation. Iím drinking pear juice, basically. Medium body. Lightly dry finish. Good moderate sweet taste, nice mild tart. Good lightly spicy flavor, some lightly musty champagne type yeast aromas. OK pear cider, but this bottle seems as if itís got to be flawed

Bomber to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks alright; definitely unfiltered though. A cloudy golden-brown with light carbonation. Smells of pear and vinegar. Tastes like true pear with a nice, soft champagne-like mouthfeel. Not bad, but they could clean it up a but to make it better.

2/14/13. 22oz bomber from Whole Foods. Followed the instructions on the bottle and gave it a swirl before pouring. Very murky pour with no head whatsoever. Big straight up pear aroma with a touch of yeast. Slightly sweet pear juice entry with a hint of tartness and yeast. A touch if dry in the end, but mostly lingering pear. Not bad.

Ernest (7662) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is notes of rubber cement, fusel alcohols (acetone, etc.), plastic, rotting vegetables, sawdust, sulfur, hint of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Absolutely horrific nose thatís basically a chemical bath...wretched industrial phenols and higher alcohols, hardly anything else...especially pear/apple-ish odor, where is that??? Unbelievable. One of the worst cider/perry products Iíve ever come across.

Patrickctenchi (6556) - Coxís Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 11, 2013
Bottle: Pours slightly hazy, old gold with a white ring. Scent is pear, a hint of yeast. Taste is mild, light pear...sweet, just on the edge of tart. A slight whiff of vinegar. Refreshing.
