Bottle.Gold with a nice head, aroma of fruit and grass, taste is malty with dark fruit,i hope herman won’t miss his plums. harrisoni (18823) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2007
Cask handpull at Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Gold with lasting white head. Strange to have this after the Bartram Dark Side. Bit of vinegar/citrus/cider, which means it could be getting tired. Not a huge aroma, and then a cidery appley flavour more than plum. Unless of course they are very sour plums you are using. Very sour under-ripe greengages is my guess. Soft in mouth. Finish is pretty drying with more sour plum. Funny, I expected it to be a rich plum beer, but it is far more sour than that. StueyD (1584) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2006
A golden orange coloured beer with a thickish white head. A light hoppy aroma, with a hint of malty fruit. The taste is dry and hoppy, with a malty undertone, the fruit only comes through in the aftertaste, leaving a smooth, mellow mouthfeel. (Cask - @ The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).
