A dark brown beer with a thickish white head. A discreet toasted malt nose with a sweet, yeasty hint. The taste also has the sweet yeasty element, there is a floral note of hops, as well as in the aftertaste, which is slightly sweet and cloying. Makes a good winter beer! leaparsons (10551) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2006
Bottle. Amber/red with a small off-white head. Aromas are toffee malts with juicy fruit, mostly berries, sulphur and spicy, floral hops. Flavours are initially both malty and fruity followed by dry, spicy hops and yeasty, slightly sour notes. Slightly metallic on the finish with mellow dry hopping. Dry on the aftertaste. A good easy drinking bitter. haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2006
Cask (handpulled) at the Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Second Fox of the day at the Devo and just as good as the first. Spice sprinkled on the tounge, long malty backwash. Impressive couple of beers, wil look out for more by this brewer. Garrat (1347) - Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2005

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy amber, lasting head. Sulphury Burtonesque aroma. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Easy going, yet flavourful. Not a beer that stands out, but a well made session ale that is really enjoyable. joergen (28148) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2005

(On bottle at RBESG 2005) hazy orange, big white head. very big nose of burnt hazelnuts. Mild matling, vague hopping, with a bit more power on the bitterness in the finish. Good sessionbrew. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2005
Bottle. Classy. Nutty aroma, with some hoppy citrus notes. Palate is dry and soft, yet assertive. Round nutty malt flavours, and bitter earthy hops, nice length on the finish, with a more-ish bitterness, i also got a touch of berry fruit. Tasty stuff. Wavehead (3) - ENGLAND - APR 19, 2005 does not count
This beer has a very original flavour and is superb for a session when you you want a beer with a bit more bite
