Tasted at Fox River Brewpub in Appleton. Suprisingly good honey ale. golden in color. refreshing in taste, not as sweet as most honeys I have tried. A better than normal honey ale.

deyholla (12295) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 25, 2011
On tap at the Oshkosh location. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of hay and straw backed by some sweet honey. Flavor is similar with hay, straw and a growing honey note.

arkurzynski (2463) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Amber to dark orange. Basic pale lager malt in the nose. Flavor is actually fairly sweet with honey flavor. Borderline too much. Otherwise, basic pale lager malt flavor. A bit sticky.

Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - AUG 24, 2010
On tap at the Oshkosh brewpub, pours a hazy red-orange with an ok head. Some honey in the nose and taste, basically they added a touch of honey to the Fox River Light. Don’t go out of your way for this one.

sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 8, 2010
The Dan Journal #338. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a bright golden hue. Brainy white head. Aromas of mild fruits. Peaches and graham crackers. Medium bodied with a mild bitterness. Rich honey flavor. Faint tart esters and tart clover honey. Decent at best.

jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 29, 2009
Pours a nice amber gold with a light tan head, mostly lasting. Nose is malt. Creamy on the palate, its taste is mild notes of malt and honey, just slighty sweet. A pleasant beer but not top caliber. Pairs well with pastrami and rye.

gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2009
Clear amber pour, clover honey and apple in the nose, sweet, pronounced honey sweetness with some strawberry. Tart finish. Good.

mcjay (463) - Neenah, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 18, 2008
Golden color with almost no head at all. Light honey aroma and taste with a hint of caramel malt. Carbonation isn’t bad but just about everything else is.

MIBRomeo (2579) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 10, 2008
light copper pour nice white head w/ great lace. light grain aroma again not much here. Avg pal. Very clean flavor some light wheats and a hint of honey then... CARDBOARD... like a stale honeweiss. Not very good.

esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 7, 2008
On tap at Fratellos Oshkosh. Golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of corn, honey and mild caramel. Taste oh honey, sweet malt and light corn. A bit astringent on the finish and dull throughout.

phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 1, 2008
While the aroma of honey was prevalent, the taste was a little different. It had a touch of sweetness with a lightly malted, light wheat flavor. This was ok.
