Minimouse (1) - Fond do lac, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 8, 2014 does not count
Very nice aroma and taste. If you like a light, smooth ale this is excellent with food. nuplastikk (6452) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 27, 2013
Tap at Osh Kosh. Filtered amber-brown. Thin oily head. Not that impressive of an offering, sort of a dirty, off-version of a weak Scottish Ale. Watery tobacco toffee, caramel. Some peat, maybe just soapy. OK at best...no hop tones. crossovert (13908) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Slight smoke. Definitely sweet and malty. The hops didn’t add much. A mixed up beer, deyholla (12247) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 25, 2011
On tap at the Oshkosh location. Pours a clear rusty amber with a creamy tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. aroma has notes of sweet bread and sweet grains backed by some caramel. Flavor is sweet with grains, bread and cookies but is a bit thin. arkurzynski (2463) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Deep brown/amber. Faint roasted malts, light smoke, some fruitiness. Fairly rounded toasted and roasted malt presence. A bit of bitterness on the end from roasted malt. Could go a little further on mouthfeel and presence, but okay.

(Draught) Pours a clear deep amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted grain, and peat. Flavor of roasted malt, peat, caramel, toffee, nuts, and subtle toasted coconut. Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - AUG 24, 2010
On tap at the Oshkosh brewpub, pours a clear crimson with an earth hop aroma. Taste is also earthy hops, with a sweet malt finish. I give it an ok. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 11, 2010
The Dan Journal #340. Tasted 3/28/10. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a bronze brown hue. Spiraling off-white head. Medium bodied with a malty flavor. Musty and earthy. Malt dominant yet faintly hoppy and bitter. Mixes well with the maple sweetness. Bready malts, mildly sticky with a dry finish. Average. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2009
Pours a thick creamy light tan head over a hazy cooper color with lots of cascading bubbles. Nose is malt, peat and licorice. Taste is bold, smoky with hints of barley and corn husk with a slight astringency. A sharp hop finish clears the palate. Pairs well with lamb stew or gyros.
