Tap. Pours a clear amber color with an average head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is pine, grass, citrus, sweet malt. Taste is off; a bit soapy. Bitter, but lacking any hop profile. No real malt balance. Its rather bland overall. arkurzynski (2463) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 16, 2012
Pale amber in color. Aroma of citrusy skunked hops with mild caramel. Flavor is bland, bitter hop water with no malt to speak of. Cottonmouth dry finish. Lingering bland hoppiness. Dissapointing. SHANER4 (507) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 14, 2009
On Tap at brewpub in Appleton mall - Poured hazy orangish copper color with nice thick head, also nice lacing on glass as I drank!!
Aroma - cereal, toasted malt and resin hops.
Flavor - pretty decent mild hop flavor and good malt flavor. I actually liked this beer, easy to drink and no offensive odrs or bad flavor!
Palate - medium bodied with average carbonation. Texture is somewhat sticky and has mildly bitter finish with barely any aftertaste.
Overall - Above average IPA, nothing that makes you go wow but just pretty damn good all around!! gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2009
Hazy, dark orange pour with a fruity, hoppy nose, balanced with a bit of caramel sweetness but a nice hoppy character, good but not inspiring. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 13, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2011 Clear amber with a rocky beige head that stick around a bit. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel, toffee and some floral hops. Taste is vegetal and floral with some pine, citrus and a peppery finish. Moderate bitterness, a bit fresher and better than the last rate.

Hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, grass clippings, sweet malt, lemon and cereal grain… not exactly what I’d expect out of an IPA, but terrible either. Taste of sweet malt, citrus and grassy hops. Body, like most other from this brewery I’ve tried, seems a little thin. Mild bitterness on the back end.
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2016 Orange amber color with a dissipating off-white head. Earthy malt and hops. A bit too much earth and some scents that seem stale. Similar flavors with an earthy/stale malt flavor. Some citric and woody characteristics as well. This shows some IPA qualities, but the lack of a clean flavor drops things down. 6/3/5/3/2.9 (rerate 6/20/12)
6 3 7 3 13 3.2 Same less the stale comments.

wow! a suprisingly drinkable beer! meaty organic hop notes devoid of funk of impurities, this actually is hopped enough even for the jaded IPA drinker. astounding considering its context. Skyview (6099) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a slightly orange amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin off-white ring. Aroma of citrus zest, some pine character, grapefruit and just a touch of caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, more of a sweet citrus zest flavor that hides some of the caramel malt character. Finish has a slight dry vegetable and some citrus aftertaste flavors that quickly disappears. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 15, 2008
Pour is medium golden with no head. None of the Fox River brews have a head that I bought. Aroma is of stale hops. Flavor is a bit better with a nice hoppy character with a slight floral note and a little pine. Not a lot going on here. An average IPA that is not worth buying again. Tap @ Appleton location. Good standout piney aroma. Darker copper body with thin head. The citrus hop flavor made of for the fact it is a medium bodied brew. Cool and crisp on the palate a good brew.
