Good hop aroma and flavor in this one. Finishes slightly bitter, with hops, citrus, and spice at the end. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 12, 2010
Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweet bready notes and toasted grains with accents of lemon zest.. honeyed and a bit adjuncty, especially as it warmed up. The flavor found sticky honey and bready malts with lemon around.. spicy and surprisingly hot on the back, with little direction and poor balance. Light-bodied and tacky on the palate.. this never really came together. JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 26, 2009
Dark golden color with a moderate, stable, off white head. Light floral scent with a hint of pale malt in the background. There are a few hints of pine floor cleaner, but not enough to distract negatively. Initial lemon grass and cedar wood flavors. LIght corn and malt in the background, but not enough to overcome the initial flavors.Middle is light and lightly grainy. Finish has some citrus and acidity to bite the tongue. LIght malt linger. Some hints of promise. Just not quite there. Thanks Bob. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 30, 2008
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at the Fox River Appleton location. Pours a clear golden pale yellow brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin ring. Aroma of light golden grain malt, a touch of corn grits, some grassy hops and some light citrus. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with an average golden grain malt and grassy hop flavor. Finish is light, crisp with a quick sharp bitterness that quickly disappears. A simple, yet solid light pilsener beer. badgerben (5282) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2005
Dark gold color with a medium fizzy head. Very weird aroma of sour grass and sugar. Sickenly sweet syrup taste somehow coupled with a sour malt tang on the end. No thanks.

On tap at Fratellos Oshkosh. Golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of corn, saaz hops and mild sweet malt. Taste of grassy hops, lemon and corn. Crisp, clean, dry and uneventful. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2005
Dark Gold Coloring with White Ring. Bittersweet Malt, Grains and Sugar on the Nose. Light Carbonation. Some Grains, Grassy Notes..Sweet Sticky Mouthfeel. Pretty Smooth Overall...Light Dry Hop Aftertaste on the Back of the Throat...Very Subtle at the End. For a Pils, Certainly Has Some Character to It. Just Not My Style of Beer. One of the better Pilsners I've ever tasted. For a style not known for flavor, body or complexity, Fox River blends a generous portion of hops to give this brew some zing. A good offering. kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 30, 2002
Minimal white head. color is blond/opache. Slight 'grainy' aroma. Hoppiness comparable to a Czech Pilsener. A bit bitter. Bitter aftetaste. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 9, 2010
Pours a pale gold into the glass with a medium sized white head, mostly lasting. Nose is hops. Nice mouthfeel, fairly creamy for this style. Taste is crisp, clear, not bitter, with a malt profile remaining on the palate. A good pilsner that pairs well with smoked salmon or better yet, smoked sturgeon, on rye crackers.
