Just barely missed on this one. Not sure if it’s a sweet or dry stout, because as it warmed it became much sweeter -- from the tap at the brewpub.
Sampler on tap from the brewpub at the mall in Appleton. Lightly roasty. Coffee. Molasses. Maybe some oatmeal smoothed it down, but it could have been better without that? A bit light. Fairly tasty. 13.3 arkurzynski (2460) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Deep brown-black pour. Nose of cocoa, roasted malt, faint brown sugar, and mild olice. Flavor is mildly sweet toasted malt with roast, light coffee, and cocoa powder. Dry, mild roast finish. Nice stout. nuplastikk (6635) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 23, 2013
12oz bottle. Deep amber-brown color, approaching black. Frothy beige head. Sweet, chocolate coffee aroma, pretty pleasant. Actually one of the better Fox River beers I’ve had. Smooth chocolate cocoa tones. I’m sort of flabbergasted that I am enjoying a Fox River product. Good creamy chocolate Stout. Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - AUG 24, 2010
On tap at the Oshkosh brewpub, pours black with an off-white head. Aroma is espresso, with a milky espresso taste. All in all a good stout. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2009

Some roast aroma. Dark coloured fruity and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry finish.

(Draught) Pours a dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of roastiness, cocoa, toasted grain, oatmeal, and vanilla. Flavor of toasted grain, roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate with a dry, bitter finish. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Bottle: Dark pour with a strong coffee and burnt aroma. Had an overwhelming burnt flavor with light chocolate. Body was ultra thin. Definitely needs more tweeking for flavor and body. joergen (29826) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2008

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from the Oshkosh brewery/brewpub location. Pours a dark cola brown brew with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and tan ring. Aroma of dark roasted malt, some coffee and chocolate character with a touch of molasses. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with some thin flavors of dark roasted malt, coffee/chocolate and a touch of citrus. Finish is slightly watery, semi-sweet with a light dark malt aftertaste.
