Danke an Erzengel. Trockener Antrunk von weichem Kaffee. Dunkles Malz, Espresso, wenig vergorene Fruchtnoten. Röstig, geringe Herbe, süffig. Monoton, durch die komplexen Kaffeenoten trotzdem interessant. 10/11/10/11/9/11 Erzengel (9467) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle bought in Dublin. roast and coffee with hints of malt. Nice dry, refreshing with caramel and grain. Sessionable smooth, dry and mild with roasted grainy hints in the back. Nice. Beerhunter111 (22505) - P´Castle, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017

Bottle at home from mchughs. Aroma is roasted coffee, lactose, chocolate 30% cocoa. Flavour is sweet coffee, chocolate, slightly smoky. Dry bitter finish. Low carbonation. Body let’s it down, a bit too light. Good humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - JUL 3, 2014
(50 cl bottle from Bradley’s Off-license, Cork; BBD: March 1st 2015) Pours a murky brown with medium, tan head that fades somewhat leaving a thick film on the surface along with lace. Aroma is relatively subdued coffee with hints of ashtray and something metallic. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lingering, rather bitter, roasted finish. Flavour is dominated by the roasted bitterness but also has an ascerbic tart note.

I would expect a more intense taste. It is suitable for the one, who would like to have a bit of a flat porter with a bit of coffee, this might be suitable. A bit disappointed. stravale (3142) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - APR 14, 2014
Bottle from Dicey Reilly’s, Ballyshannon
JanLaursen (3372) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2014
Black, ruby edges in glass, large frothy beige head, good lacing
Aroma of good quality coffee, soft roasted malts, fruity dark malts, red berry fruits, soft burnt notes, dry wood, lots of coffee
Taste of mellow roast black coffee, roasted malts, dab of bitter dark chocolate, sweet dark fruity malts, red berry fruits, dark jammy fruits, lots of fruity dark coffee
Palate - soft carb, medium body, smooth texture, bit sticky, fairly sweet malts with bitter coffee roast, palate seemed a bit claggy. Finish as main flavour, bit of dry roast, dark fruity malts
Overall - Very fruity coffee porter, maybe a bit overloaded with coffee, but still decent - would like to try this on cask. I had this room temperature (as usual for stouts / porters) but I felt this would have benefited cooling a bit in the fridge.
Cask på Brew Dock, Dublin. Mørkebrun med rødlig glød og et blødt, cremet beige skum. Dufter af Wiener Melange og mørkt brød. Cremet og blød som flødeskum og fløjl. OK bitterhed. Let syrlig finish. garthicus (2945) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAR 12, 2014
On cask. Appearance: pitch black, thick yellow creamy head. Looks great.
Aroma: decent coffee and cream nose. A little chocolate with some wood notes.
Flavour: bitter coffee at first, mellows out quickly to reveal a slightly sour cream and chocolate flavour, medium length bitter and chocolate finish. Creedence (314) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 4, 2013
Cask at the brewpub. Pours a chocolatey reddish brown, with a nice tan head. Strong espresso aroma, with some burnt toast and dark chocolate. Light sweetness followed by a strong coffee bitterness in the flavour. Slightly tart and dry coffee bitter finish, little light in body is the one complaint. A great beer, really nice on cask, if slightly one dimensional in its coffee flavour.
