AROMA: banana, citrus, cloves, orange APPEARANCE: pale, hazy, minimal head, white foam, TASTE: light sweetness, lightly sour, medium bitterness, PALATE: light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish, OVERALL: nice balance of aromas, banana not too overpowering, bit too thin palate.

3.4
stravale (3088) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - NOV 30, 2013
Bottle from Tesco Longford [301113]
Orange, hazy, frothy white head that quickly dissipates, slight lacing
Aroma - soft sweet wheat, touch of banana, hubba bubba bubble gum, quite fruity
Taste - Soft sweet quite fruity malts, wheat, dab of orange, bubble gum, slight apricot, some spicy clove notes coming through, soft flavours
Palate - Medium carb, medium body, bit powdery texture, finding it rather too sweet though. Finish - light bitter spicy, smooth, rapid finish
Overall - Lacking guts, bit too sweet, but easy and smooth. Quite a decent soft Hefeweizen (I’m not that keen on ones that are overpowering).

thellgren (1109) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 12, 2013
Draught @ Bleeding Horse, Dublin (October special or something) Well, a nice hefeweizen. Not sure about banans but citrus was there. Very refreshing.

3.4
Creedence (312) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 4, 2013
Keg at Franciscan Well. Pours a cloudy golden with a lasting white head. Clove heavy spicy aroma. Strong sweetness with light sourness and light bitterness - a lot of clove, banana and lactic acid in the flavour. Tart clove sweet aftertaste with a full body and reasonably lively carbonation. Not a huge Hefeweizen fan, but this is pretty solid.
