Clear dark black brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, alcohol - whisky notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
At a tasting, many thanks, small stable creamy head, very dark intense brown color, aroma of charred wood chocolate and vanila, flavor of charred wood chocolate and dark fruits, quite sweet. nice but not too great.

(1L bottle from Dublin Airport; Bottle #2213 of 2500; BBD: March 2016) Poured into a stemmed tulip glass at fridge temperature reveals a pitch black body with two-finger beige head. Decent retention that leaves lace. Aroma is roasted malt and bourbon barrel with a hint of salty licorice. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lingering licorice finish. Flavour remains true to the aroma with notes of wood, licorice and roasted malt. The whiskey presence never becomes overpowering but remains nicely complementary. I love the beer already at first sight. The beer has been in our climate cooler since I brought it back from Ireland. I bought it on Dublin airport, on our way home. I have very very high expectations from this beer, because I love stout and all dark roasted beers. The beer is pitch black on the naked eye. When seen with a light behind it, the beer has a minimal ruby red glow. It is one of the darkest beers I have ever seen. The beer pours a decent amount of soft, creamy caramel colored foam. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly. A nice drape of foam remains till the beer is finished. The smell of the beer is great. The smell had a strong dark roasted aroma. This is clearly the result oh roasted barley. The Jameson whisky can clearly be smelled. This gives a new dimension to the smell. It has a certain freshness, a fruitiness in it. The beer also has a tiny hop aroma and I smell some sweet smoke. The smell is truly divine. There are also aromas which are present in most stouts, I smell licorice, anis, I nice herbal smell. The taste is divine as well. The taste is typically for a stout. The licorice and anis are also present in the flavor. The beer has a delicious roasted flavor, caused by the roasted barley. There is also a delicious hop note, which is very fruity and lightly sweet and sour. The hop notes are coming late in the taste. The beer is fresher than most stouts. It doesn’t have a lot of chocolate and coffee in it. In stead, there is a lot of fresh fruitiness and hops. I think the aging has given a lot of fruitiness from the whisky to the beer. This beer is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. I hope I can get my hand in it again.
