Love how widely available this beer has become on tap around Ireland, can’t have more than a few pints before the taste becomes a bit much but I do love the first few

Cask at Hilden Fest 2012 - 25/08/12.
Slightly cloudy amber red with a thin off-white head.
Sweet malt aroma, fudge, butterscotch and hops on the nose.
Tastes of caramel, sweet malts, sweet candyfloss, light fruit tones and peach.
Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation. Moderate bitter finish with a lttle fruity aftertaste.

hayduke (5692) - Eureka, California, USA - SEP 1, 2014
This was an English pint at Oil Can Harry’s pub in central Dublin, Ireland. There is nothing quite like a draft beer for freshness. In the glass it was a reddish amber with a white head and very sticky lacing on the glass. Nose is floral hops with ripe fruit. Medium in body with a very smooth abd creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is rich and the hops and malts are in good balance. and the finish is lightly bitter. Very nice beer and is so smooth in the mouth it seems almost like it came from a cash, not a keg.

Braudog (6852) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 19, 2009
Draft pint at the brewpub. Very active with a tight head of foam. Caramel nose but a very nice well balanced beer, fitting into what I’d consider the altbier tradition. (#3663, 9/13/2009)

A really good Irish red, caramel, hint of vine fruits, pleasant aftertaste. A good session beer and much better than mainstream beers in Ireland. Had at the brewery in Cork.

Draught at Bull & Castle, Dublin (as Castle Red). Clear brownish amber, creamy head. Mildly roasty and fruity. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Mid hoppy with growing bitterness. Edgeless, nice and well drinkable.
