Tap at JJ Harlows, Roscommon, 26th July 15. Dark red brown, reasonable off white head that dissipates. Aroma slight iron, hops, sweetness. Taste is pretty smooth, not a bad Irish, amber ale

0.33l bottle. Red color with beige head. Aroma is caramel, toasted malt and dried fruits. Taste is caramel and fruity. Overall it’s good and balanced beer.

Tap at Kellys Bar in Cobh, Ireland. Pours dark and ruddy, but very clear. Not real. ;( Aroma is malty, and floral. Med body. Flavor is malty, but there’s floral and even a bit of spice to help out. Smithwicks sorta kinda. Enjoyable in the land of Guinness.

Warm and fruity aroma with a ruby red colour. Warming and at the same time fresh and summery. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2009 @ Franciscan Well in Cork: Warm clear reddish amber, short lasting head, weak notes of hops, getting stronger in mouth where malt fruit, and yeast is adding up. Sweet flavour, and lack of finish.

on tap @ the Bodega, Cork. nice red, and after having the typical euro trash beers for a week it was so nice to have a micro. good flavor and body typical of a red, true, its probably not braking the mold, but a very good beer just the same.

Pours an amber/red colour. Taste is malty with some nice dried fruits, a good example of the style

At a tasting, small stable creamy head, quite clear dark red colour, malty caramel aroma with some barnyard notes, fruity caramel flavour, light to medium strong herbal bitterness. Nice and satisfying.

Good example of an irish red ale. Loads of cream I’m the texture and lots of biscuit and red fruit in the beginning and end.

Pours a clear darker shade of amber, light coppery color, topped with a medium sized and not really lasting beige head. Mild malty aroma with caramel and some sicuity notes. Some chalk but not too intrusive. Taste is mildly sweet, malty with some pleasant caramel presence. Gentle and very light. Nice one.
