Average for a popular style. Strong piney and herbal hop aroma. Bitterness up front with a mild malt base. Needs a little better balance. drjay44 (3856) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAY 7, 2016
12 oz. bottle. No bottling date. Pours a thin, poorly retained ivory head, over a clear, dark amber (SRM 14) body........nose is treacle, toffee/caramel, mild pine, balance to the malts......taste is moderately sweet, with toffee/caramel notes, light bread, biscuit, finishing with mild bitterness, minimal pine, balance to the hops......mouth feel, medium sticky body, light alcohol, low carbonation. This is more of an Old Ale than an I/DIPA, and could have been an old bottle, as the hops are almost completely absent. If this is the way it is absolutely fresh, the recipe needs a total rework. trailer. Pours a clear copper color with massive infected style foamage. Floral, polycarbonate, caramel aromas. Huge frothy mouthfeel. Toasted caramel, dry polycarbonate, mild floral flavors---yikes.
Darker yellowish orange. Bitter. Skunky. Lots of hops, but not pleasant hops. I don’t know if it’s because the hops or old, or its German influence, but I’m not at all digging this. fiveacestx (974) - Texas, USA - JUN 27, 2015
Bottle - Deep orange with a small light tan head. Has kind of a malty, fish water aroma (???), an earthy citrus taste, some pine and caramel. Medium body and a dry finish.

Enjoyed at BTBF 2015. Murky yellow orange appearance. Earthy hop knows, sweet and resiny with pancake syrup sweetness. Dry Hoppe flavor, Lemon citrus of the light dry finish. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Grass and grapefruit aroma while more pine resin comes though in the taste. Balanced by a touch of caramel malt. degbert (1776) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Bottle. Pours a very dark, hazy orange-amber with a high, fine-grained, cream-colored head. Nose is pronouncedly sweet and orange, almost into the orange soda range; there is also a faint trace of pine and floral notes. Sweet at the front of the tongue, and yes, there’s orange, though it’s much more organic and natural.. and then the hops kicks in with bitter herbs, pine, and lavender. Nice balance with the honey-toffee notes in the malt. Tastes better than it smells, and finishes nicely. One of the better things they’ve done. ph03nix42 (20) - MCKINNEY, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2014
