COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A German "Dunkel" (dark) brewed as a Lager with Two Row Malt, Munich Malt and some Roasted Malts. Spiced up with German Hops from the Hallertau and a German Lager Yeast gives this Brew a nice dunkel (dark) color and some Malt sweetness with a nice finish of balanced Hops and a little chocolaty taste for the finish.

Not a bad tasting beer, has some light chocolate notes but finishes clean. It's a heavier beer not something to drink all the time but I imagine it's great for the winter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught in Dallas at a couple of spots. I enjoyed this and found the rich malt to be pleasing. Crisp finish.

Keg at Ginger Man, Plano. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Rich coffee aroma. Mid dry with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and toast. Mid bitter grassy finish. While the malt character does not up to my expectations from the brewery name it is a pretty good dunkel, on the roasty side.

Draught at Ginger Man, Austin, TX, 25.4.2016. Very dark brown. Chocolate and a little bit of raisins aroma and also plenty of caramel. Dry, bitter, roasty taste. Full body, fairly carbonated, a little too roasty finish to be a dunkel.

Nitro draft shaker at Anvil Pub in Dallas, Texas. The pour is a brown copper with a solid unmoving one inch tan head. The aroma is sweet vanilla caramel, along with a bit of office coffee. Basically coffee and cream. The taste is nutty caramel malt, sweet and not much else. The palate is the silky nitro smooth mouthfeel though still somewhat thin in the body. Cleanish sweet finish. This one didn’t totally do it for me.

Plano, Tx - Total Wine - North Plano. Dark brown pour, light, but persistent khaki colored head, light lacing, Nice chocolate aroma, some nuttiness. flavor has a similar profile, plenty of chocolate goodness, a touch of topsoil, some light molasses a finish of light licorice, Decently thick mouthfeel, Best I have had from Franconia yet,

Dark brown body. Smells like cereal, butter, and pecans. Flavor is more pecan, strong berry notes the diacetyl is too strong though.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of Munich malts with a hint of roast. Lighter side of medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor of dark german malts countered by a soft spicy bitterness. Cocoa and nut notes on the finish. Pretty solid for a Dunkel.
