Pours a glass full of tan foam....with a slooooowly appearing dark brown liquid at the bottom....and so.....we wait.....
Rich chocolate malt aroma....
Sweet caramel, dark chocolate malt, creamy flavour....Thick and full bodied.....worth the wait for the head to recede. batneil (719) - - AUG 1, 2015
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2015 Bottle. Looks like a dunkel, but tastes of almost nothing. Fizzy, no head at all. Not one I’d recommend. (Edit: a second bottle was more flavourful.) BeerRenter76 (1015) - Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2015
"Pours a very dark brown colored body, small tan-white head, that leaves some ok lace. Aroma of coffee, earth, and chocolate, nice but a bit on the weak side.Flavors of coffee grounds, and some earthiness and milk chocolate notes, especially as it warms up. Like the aroma its a bit watery, not bad though. rollinsr (748) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - JUN 21, 2015
Pours cloudy chestnut brown with minimal head. Aroma is rich smoky malt and tart dark fruits. Flavor is smooth and creamy with notes of toffee and roasted hazelnuts.

Bottle. Coffee, chocolate malt and hay aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal quinine flavor. Good body. Good - very hoppy for a dunkel.

Draft on the brewery tour: Poured a marbled brown with an off white to light beige head. Aroma is roasted malts and sweet. Taste is nice blend of toffee, caramel, and roasted malts. There is nothing better than drinking a fresh dunkel at the source. COMRADEJOSH (320) - Gainesville, Florida, USA - JAN 16, 2015
This wonderful dark chocolately and earth tasting dunkel takes me back to Germany and their dunkelweizen beers. Overall I have nothing bad to say about this beer that has a great taste and mouthfeel and if you didn’t know you would think it was an import. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2015
355ml bottle. Looks nice, good tannish head, dark hazed amber/brown body, nose is bakers chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor has a lot of coffee and roasted malt, it comes off more as a porter than a dunkel. Namespayne (64) - - DEC 2, 2014
12 oz bottle --> pint glass. Four fingers of head after just half a pour. Dark brown, almost opaque. Balanced hoppy aroma with notes of toffee and pecan for nose and taste, nice and smoky with notes of caramel on the palate. Not too bitter, good balance, just dry enough. Sessionable and surprisingly decent for what it is. Don't sell it short, this one's a sleeper.

Bottle - Dark pour with a medium head. Has a nutty chocolate taste. Thin body. Decent.
