Bottle. Dark brown color, medium off white head. Aroma of roasty cocoa. Taste is sweet, malted milk balls. OK. degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy, tan, fine-grained head. Nose is coffee, steamed okra, and a light gravy or broth. Good flavor -- roasted grain, cafe au lait, and smoke -- but relatively light body, although the mouthfeel is pleasantly creamy. Finish is long, clean, and simple. It won’t rock your world, but it’s a nice dunkel. swesson (453) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - AUG 7, 2014
On tap At Smoke in Dallas. Pours a reddish color and a thin head. Not much aroma.

DArk brown pour, tan head that leaves quickly. Nose is dark roasted malt. Slightly sweet. Middle is coco and thin molasses. Finish shows a slight bitterness, still a little sweet TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2014
Pours a dark brown with off-white head. Spice, roasted malt, and some caramel on the nose; follows onto the palate. An average dunkel.

Bottle thanks to fiveacestx. medium brown pour with an off white head. Nutty aromas of a typical Dunkle. Sweet taste that finishes clean. Usually don’t like this style but this was in line more with a nut brown. alcamp99 (72) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Pours dark with a thin head. Sweet toasted malt with balanced full bodied finish.

Light brown with light tan head that dispersed quickly. Carbonation seems on the low side, but may be appropriate for the style. This beer has a lightly sweet grainy malt taste with minimal bittering. Body was thinner than I had anticipated. This is a very easy drinking beer. Overall I enjoyed it and would have another. mmmbeer (1425) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2014
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass- poured a semi transparent brown color when held to a light source, thin tan ring around the glass for a head. Aroma of Hershey’s chocolate and a light roasted malt. Hits the mouth with medium body, malt is firm but isn’t roasted as much as I thought it might be, middle holds up well, finish has a sweet sensation to it. It’s going to be a LONG night of drinking for me tonight... Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - MAR 24, 2014
3/24/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a creamy tan head. Aromas are roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Flavors are chocolate, malt, dark fruit. Creamy and balanced. Not bad at all.
