On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with ruby highlights when held to the sun. Lots of chocolate/mocha/coffee flavors and a nice roasty aroma. Mouthfeel is a bit creamy due to low carbonation level. One of the best dunkels I have had and one of my favorites from this brewery. KamGoPro (220) - Texas, USA - FEB 2, 2014

Draft at Flying Saucer Addison. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of Munich malts with a hint of roast. Lighter side of medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor of dark german malts countered by a soft spicy bitterness. Cocoa and nut notes on the finish. Pretty solid for a Dunkel. Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Nose of toasted malts with nutty notes. A rapidly diminishing tan head rests on a ruddy brown pour producing ringed lacing as the beer disappears. Chocolate, lightly roasted malts, and nuts constitute the flavor. While hops are present, this is definitely a malt forward brew. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel initially with a bit of fizz at the end. Overall, I liked this beer. It has a very nice mildly roasted malt quality and is well balanced and vey consumable. Draft on the brewery tour: Poured a marbled brown with an off white to light beige head. Aroma is roasted malts and sweet. Taste is nice blend of toffee, caramel, and roasted malts. There is nothing better than drinking a fresh dunkel at the source. shrubber85 (11582) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Bottle. Coffee, chocolate malt and hay aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal quinine flavor. Good body. Good - very hoppy for a dunkel.
