McTapps' rating

   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 8/20
McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, - JAN 29, 2013
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Clear light golden colour with steady head and medium body for the looks. Taste of bitter hops, mild citrus fruits and old grass comes after a poor aroma. Easy to drink but way beyond delicious.

Moravius (1517) - Berlin, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2017
“Franken Bräu Pilsener“, Flasche (50 cl) aus dem Markgrafen-Getränkemarkt Bad Steben. - Helles Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase nicht besonders kräftiger, etwas derber Hopfen, stumpfe Zitronenschale. - Antrunk schlank und blaß malzsüßlich mit ein wenig Stroh. Sehr schlank, leicht trocken. Im Abgang blasse, leicht zitronenschalige Hopfenherbe. - Insgesamt recht blasses aber doch rundes und erfrischendes, von Fehlaromen freies Pilsner. Könnte auf Dauer freilich etwas dünn schmecken.

Piepenhenrich (1290) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 15, 2017
A PIls, that does not meet up to its peers. Average at max. With the abundance of PIls available, this is an unnecessery extention to the beer landscape.

greks (399) - GERMANY - AUG 8, 2017
0,5 l Flasche aus einem lokalen Getränkemarkt. Strohgold, klar mit schnell zerfallender Krone. Schwach in der Nase, im Geschmack säuerlich und ingesamt für ein Pils nicht herb genug.

beerstar88 (587) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAY 8, 2017

Leichte Bitterkeit.

Zlotta (4154) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 26, 2017
0.5 l bottle from local ’Trink & Spare’, best before March 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of honey and butter. Sweetish-malty, slightly grainy taste of honey, butter, sweet popcorn, some straw and hints of cardboard, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Maybe the bottle is not freshest anymore, but this tastes more like a Festbier than their actual Festbier, whereas their Festbier resembles a real Pils. Strange. The beer is not bad by the way, just not what I was expecting.

L: -pours a clear straw golden with a medium, foamy, white head -high carbonation visible S: -floral,bready,honey,spicy,grainy,her with a sudden finish -low to medium, lingering bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -light body O: An o.k. pityu (681) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 22, 2016
Bottle - Clear golden colour, small white head, fair retention. Grassy hop nose with some cereals and hay, some corn. Taste is a bit too sweet with some bread, corn and grassy hop bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, slick texture, a bit cornish finish. Not bad, easy drinking beer, but not above the german average.

gyllenbock (10034) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 8, 2016
At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2016. Clear golden with a white head. On the sweet side with malt, light grass and some grain. Easy to drink and with a medium bitterness.

Foerdifuxx (420) - Franconia, GERMANY - JUL 2, 2016
Clear light golden beer with a white, not so good lasting head. Aromas of pale malt, grassy hops, a floral whiff. Taste is sweet, mild-bitterdhoppy. More than average carbonation, light to medium body, fizzy carbonation.
