McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, - JAN 29, 2013
Deep black colour with fluffy but low head. Taste of brown bread, low malt, cherry stones and nuts. The finish is too metallic and bitter, I didn’t enjoy it that much because it just wasn’t that quaffable like other Schwarzbiere.

0.5 l bottle from local ’Trink & Spare’, best before July 2017. Clear, very dark brownish red with a medium large, very dense, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, chocolate, nuts and some bread. Sweetish, slightly roasty-malty and a little grassy-spicy taste of caramel, nuts, some chocolate, bread crust and hints of coffee, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and a little grassy-spicy finish with a metallic touch. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not bad, but not that exciting as well.
