From the bottle, nose is typical altbier, more or less flat. Taste is sweetish, malty with muddy mouldy finish... Tokyo9 (250) - GERMANY - APR 21, 2016

Iron flavour in finish
Strong bitter finish makes this a good Alt.
Bottle from a bier kiosk in Düsseldorf. Pours light brown with an off white head. Aroma of light malt, caramel, banana and prune. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Finish of bitter fruit. Marstonlad (878) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2016
On tap in a bar @ Dusseldorf. Yellowish brown color with a little white head. The aroma features a toasted malty mix of nuts, bread and a touch of dark fruitiness. Taste is medium in roastiness, malt-oriented with toasted bread, nuts and bisquit and a hint of fruitiness appearing near the finish. The palate is medium-bodied, though barely, with an average carbonation; drinkable yet full-bodied enough. Standard alt, flawless but unspectacular.

Pours clear brown with medium, quite lasting beige head. Toasty maltiness dominates both aroma and taste. Also slight nuttiness and even a vague taste of dark fruits. Transparent body, average carbonation. Finish a bit too dry and blunt for my taste.
Ubiquitous in Dusseldorf...served in 200ml and 400ml glasses respectively. Rich dark colour with an off cream head that stays. Not an overly strong dark beer but it has some character. Dark malt and caramel but not overly strong. Light carbonation and a dry finish. Good beer this. caribou43 (997) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - JAN 30, 2016
It is a regular altbeer. The taste in general is dry and bitter. We could smell the hop but there is one side smocked or like caramel.. The color is red and copper and the foam is weak, average carbonation. BillWyce (1074) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 2, 2015
Draft at Brauhaus Schmitz. Pours clear nut brown with a 1-finger bone-colored head. Aroma of biscuit malt with some toasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Toasty malt flavor with a touch of citrus hops underneath. A touch of earthiness at the back. hauxe (712) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - DEC 2, 2015
Roasted caramel in the initial sensation, followed by some hops, finishes dry. Pleasantly agreeable for the duration.
