NDmullet (208) - South Bend, Indiana, USA - JAN 17, 2003
Medium chestnut colored, thin head, lots of carbonation. Earthy malt and nutty aroma, like a cross between a dunkel and an English brown. Hazelnut and roasty malt flavors are quite distinctive, and intercepted by an adequate bitterness, touch of sourness. Light bodied, not as fizzy as expected, with a lingering finish. My first of the style, and I quite enjoyed it.

Bottle from systembolaget. A decent beer, always enjoy an altbier. Nicely malted, reminds me of England.

Pours a clean light brown-ish color with medium beige head. Aroma has toffee, caramel, roasted malts, almonds and nuts. Taste follows the nose, dry, with nuts, toffee, grass and roastiness, with a moderate bitter ending to it.

MikeBeermaster (1171) - that shaggy maggot, POLAND - DEC 6, 2017
Aroma of brown sugar, some toast, caramel with a grainy note in the back and fruit. Dark copper in the glass with a medium head. Taste is pretty balanced with nuts which play the first fiddle, some toast with roasty bitterness. In the long run really solid and tasty.
