NDmullet's rating

3.6
   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20
NDmullet (208) - South Bend, Indiana, USA - JAN 17, 2003
Medium chestnut colored, thin head, lots of carbonation. Earthy malt and nutty aroma, like a cross between a dunkel and an English brown. Hazelnut and roasty malt flavors are quite distinctive, and intercepted by an adequate bitterness, touch of sourness. Light bodied, not as fizzy as expected, with a lingering finish. My first of the style, and I quite enjoyed it.

dunklermessias (205) - Lüneburg, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2017
On tap at Vest Arena Recklinghausen. Comes with a clear brown color and a small off-white head. The nose is simple: Malt and grains with some sweet hints. Taste is simple as well: roasted malts and a semi dry-bitter finish.

droef (190) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2017
33cl bottle. An Alt beer with a smokey finish. Although not bad it’s not my cup of tea.

Bottle. Brown colour, clear, small head. Aroma is nuts. Medium carbonation. Lively carbonation - for me a bit too high. Medium body. Nice aroma, but feels a bit empty.

Pudelek (430) - Gùrny Slùnsk / Oberschlesien, - MAY 19, 2017
Butelka 0,5. Piana 2 cm, kolor ciemnoczerwony (początkowo wydawało się czarne). Aromat słaby, przebija się jakby batonik zbożowy. W smaku oczywiście zboże, wafelki, lekko palone. Nie jest złe, ale też bez szału.

thellgren (1062) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 6, 2017
Several 0,2 l draught @ Im Goldenen Ring, Düsseldorf (April 21, 2017). Appearance is brown, clear and a decent head. Taste has lots of malts, combined with fruits from the yeast and a bitter ending from the hops. Sounds like a good bitter, doesn’t it?

3.2
FinnIckler (480) - GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Draft at a Restaurant in Gütersloh. Nose is earthy, toffee, chocolate. Palate is bitter and basement aroma , some toffee. Not bad.

2.4
ShivanDragon (4120) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - APR 9, 2017

3.4
YantarCoast (1370) - Moscow, RUSSIA - FEB 14, 2017
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear brown with a small cream coloured head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, nuts. Taste is caramel, dark malt, nuts, more chocolate.
