2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Moose Preserve in Bloomfield Hills. Pours hazy orange - draft card had no description so looking at it I thought it was a wheat ale. Flavor is a little bitter, not intense as the brewer describes (which I found to be a good thing). A bit fruity too with some malty grain notes. Fairly refreshing. Not bad.
Smell of sweet floral (honeysuckle I guess) and hop. Drink from bottle. Taste sweet, smooth, nice aroma of hop, might not as complex as other IPA. Texture is slightly slimy. Good above average. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 20, 2016

Pour on tap at Midtown Brewing, clear orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of diacetyl, veggie, some slight hints of grass, touch of spice into a bit of earth, biscuit. Taste was a mix of grass, biscuit, bread, hints of yeast, some veggie notes with a hint of butter, finishing fairly bitter. superspak (5594) - Michigan, USA - SEP 18, 2015
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/24/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering. Poured from bottle with an orange color with an average head. Aroma of pine and caramel. Flavors included earthy and garbagey elements / vegetal. Firm bitterness was the best thing going for this one. So so beer.

Man, kinda surprised by the low scores here. Pours golden, somewhat translucent capped by a off white head that reduces to a soapy looking cap. While I agree the nose is slightly weak, taste features plenty of hop resin, pine, and bitterness all topped on top of a medium body. Pine and dryness linger for a bit. This is pretty decent. mallons72 (208) - livonia, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2015
I saw recently that this beer won the gold medal over two hearted in a competition in frankenmuth.....it was in frankenmuth. Not a chance. Bad ipa. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 24, 2015
12 oz bottle poured to pint glass. Murky, yeasty light gold color with medium head. Picked this up because I read that the brewer claims he created Two Hearted when he worked for Bell’s. This beer is okay, but it doesn’t run with Two Hearted. Nice malt/hop balance with just the right citrus kick for an IPA. finish is bitter, but yeasty. alexsdad06 (10425) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 15, 2015
12 oz. bottle picked up in Toledo. Pours a clear orange golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have some citrus, light resiny character, toasted bread, flavor becomes just bitter with no real flavor profile, pass in the future. malkyore (377) - - FEB 18, 2015
So.. I can?t smell cuz I have a cold. So I gave it a 7.... I dunno... It seemed like rounding up the provocative name would give this beer a little more of a fighting chance... Unfortunately for it that couldn?t really save it.... It?s citrusy but there?s like a TON of floaty yeast which seems inappropriate.... Couple that with I had this right after a two hearted and Yeah...
