COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This German-style Pilsener is a super-premium lager with a brilliant gold color and the dry finish and aroma of hops. A time-honored German style pilsener, this definitive golden lager is made following the traditional German purity law: using only malted barley, water, German hops and German lager yeast. A great beer with a floral aroma, a hint of spices & a dry finish. ABV 5.25% IBU 26. Pairs well with lighter foods: chicken, salads, salmon & bratwurst

From old tasting notes. Bright yellow gold color. Assertive sweet malt aroma with floral hop notes. Sweetish light malt flavor upfront. Brief dry hop finish.

Bottle from the Brewery. Poured a bright, clear gold with a thin white head that dissipated quickly. Nice fresh bread aroma. Maybe with a touch of straw. Light body, thin slightly slick texture and slightly sweet. Light lacing. Very little bitterness. Short finish. Refreshing. Fantastic Pilsner!

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grass and grains with a bit of hay underlying. Flavor has more a sweet biscuit start that mellows in to a bread and grain finish.

Bottle at home. Pours a golden yellow with two fingers of white head. Aroma is bready and biscuit with some floral notes. Flavor is floral and very bready. Somewhat bitter and full bodied. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Man....this is a perfect pilsner in my book. Bready, crisp and awesome cold as hell out of the bottle. It might claim to be German but drink this when you want some 1970s American nostalgia minus the nasty metallic tinge of Blatz in a can. Mow your lawn and pull this out of a bucket of ice and try to pretend life ain?t pretty good. I dare you.

Bottle. Clear light yellow pour with almost no head. Aroma is very sweet cereal grain and rice. Taste is the same with a little bit of flowers. Tastes like a Budweiser with less carb and a hint of floral hops. Not my thing.

czar (8996) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 14, 2014
pours slightly hazy bright and very pale yellow with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. pils, but also sweetish grains - fresh though, bitter herbs, lemon, pepper, white grape juice, booze and a touch of caramel (!), some candied lemons, lots of minerals, onions. moderately low carbonation - slightly lacking, light body - oily, semi-sweet and slightly bland floral-grassy-herbal finish. decent pils anyhow.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsener glass. Beautiful straw yellow with about 2 fingers of head that quickly disappeared. Taste is typical American pilsener, not even close to a traditional German pilsener.

Had a pint on tap at Bar Louie. Very solid, refreshing with a slightly hoppy backbone.

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle: Translucent, golden-yellow with a bright, white, bubbly head that quickly turns into a thin film. Aroma was weak; faint grains, biscuit, a hint of lemon zest, & a touch of spicy Noble hops. Earthy, but light. Taste included more light pilsner malt, just a hint of sweetness, reminders of bread, steel, & a touch of dirty, dry, earthy hops. Finishing bitter bite, clean with lasting metallic & yeast notes... Mildly astringent. Pretty drab & boring overall, even for a pilsner. Not awful but not executed very well.
