3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not much of a taste with this one. Not bad, but just seems that the recipe was produced by a committee of marketeers.
Pours a pale golden yellow with a white foam head that leaves quickly. Aroma is grassy and herbal hops and sweet bread malts. Flavor is sweet bread and grassy and herbal hops. Has a light, crisp body, though a touch astringent. Meh. Onslow (1495) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUL 10, 2015
Pour from a 12oz can. Clear golden brew with small white head that very quickly fizzels. Aroma of light grass and very light caramel. Taste is light sweet biscuit at the start, with an early and pronounced (for a helles / lager) hoppiness - nice belnd of noble, grass and floral hops. Transitions to a bit of crisp citrus / lemon at the finish. Stays a little sweet through the finish though the hops steps up at the end of the swallow. Competent palate unlike a lighter pale lager. Very enjoyable! BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - JUN 30, 2015
Can shared with Goetz. Purchased at Sicilianos in GR. pours a light yellow with three fingers of foamy white head. Slight floral. Slight grassy. Really nice refreshing beer.

Summery light beer with a bitter taste. Not very hoppy at all. Decent beer. Probably wouldn’t get it again. superspak (5584) - Michigan, USA - JUL 15, 2014
12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 3/10/2014. Pours lightly hazy deep gold color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal balancing earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance and solid robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a very clean finish with zero cloying flavors; Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Helles style. Very clean and well balanced flavors of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Easy to drink. Very refreshing. A nice mellow helles that’s not too bold but is flavorful to suffice. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Can: Lightly hazed, yellow-straw color with a stark white head that turns into a soapy film & mildly chunky collar quickly. Aroma filled with sweet honey biscuit malt, mild sugar cookie sweetness, bread, crisp yeast, & just a moderate hint of sharp grass that creeps into the back-end for balance. Taste includes some zesty lemon & citrus spritz up front, leading into a nice balance of malt; buttered sweetbread & lightly toasted crackers. Good amount of lager yeast in the aftertaste, lending to a dry, crisp finish. This is a damn good helles lager, & I could see myself crushing cans of this during the summertime. Can. Light gold no head. Faint malt aroma. Light. Not much depth. Probably good in summer.Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - MAR 8, 2014
