Shared by maniac at the 22nd Richmond Gathering. Clear copper, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of dry citrus, leather, yeast, stone fruits. The taste is yeast, stone fruit, caramel, leather, earthy hops. Medium bodied. Dry. Just a touch of something bad coming soon, I fear. Drink it soon! dlovell2 (2213) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - SEP 15, 2015
On tap at brewery. Pours Golden with white head. Tropical fruit aroma with floral notes and yeastiness. Flavor is tropical fruit and citrus. Grapefruit and pine finish with spicy peppery earthy yeastiness . Love the Beastie Boys reference. AcctError96987 (3722) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Growler shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt!
The beer is mostly clear, with a very slight haze. The head is small and thin, fading within a few moments. The aroma is decent, with dank hops and a subtle Belgian yeast strain. The flavor is ok, but is generally unexciting. Where is the Belgian aspect of this beer? The yeast and floral notes from the Belgian yeast are very muted and restrained. Although the beer is hop forward, I find myself wanting more. The feel is medium bodied, with moderately low carbonation. Overall, this brew was drinkable, but the recipe could stand a few enhancements.

Bottle from the brewer: Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head, aroma has pine, grapefruit, mint and some earth, starts and ends bitter with a pine taste at the end, full bodied with soft carbonation and slick mouthfeel. radagast83 (8186) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - APR 7, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Poured a mostly clear golden orange color with a frothy white head at the very top (about one finger). Aroma was yeasty, with a nice resin hop character to it. Smells great. Flavor is a bit grapefruit hop, with a touch earthy notes, and plenty of yeast notes throughout. A fine beer.
