Sampler at brewpub. Pours hazy yellow gold with white head. Aromas of banana, clove, and wheat. Flavors of banana, clove, light citrus, and some wheat. Kinda of a hefe light. Not a ton of flavor. Drinkable but that is about it. CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUL 25, 2010
On tap at the brewpub: Pours a slightly hazy golden bronze with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat and some light clove spice and banana esters. Starts with pretty good fullness for the style while still maintaining good drinkability and light sweetness with an authentic yeast profile and clove spice. An enjoyable and very drinkable hefeweizen. lamas (1655) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 28, 2010
Draft on 06/26/10. Arrived at the table a very hazy, glowing gold color with a skim of an off-white head on top. Lots of oranges, rinds, and lemons in the aroma along with some light clove and wheatiness in the background. Thin to medium-bodied. Semi-sweet start taste-wise with plenty of wheatiness. Tart oranges and bittering rinds follow. A bit of sour lemon at the very end. A touch spicy throughout. Not too bad, but kinda harsh for the style.
