COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bavarian Purity Law came into effect in 1516. When Bavaria joined Prussia to become part of the German Empire (Deutsches Reich) in the unification of 1871, one of the conditions was that the Bavarian beer purity law apply to all of Germany. Since then it was known as the GERMAN purity Law (Deutsches Reinheitsgebot).

Incidentally, the Purity Law stated that only 3 ingredients may be used for beer: Water, Hops & Barley. Weissbeer also has Yeast added, so is in fact in violation of this law.

My best non-alcoholic beer. Although it has no alcohol it still tastes very good and similar to the original version. Medium white foam, cloudy, golden color. Medium body, lacing on the glass. Taste of banana, lemon, tangerine and also some bitterness. There is everything, who needs alcohol?

Bottle at home during 2 week post-Christmas dry out. A lively pour with a long lasting and very pillowy head. It was murky like a proper weiss and the flavour was faintly what you would expect. It was a bit too sweet to me and it was a bit like a shandy. Overalll the best of the alcohol free beers that I have tried, but not great.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 Bottle from Tesco. Pours murky orange. Nose is strong barley and bread, light banana. Tastes mostly bready malts, light spices, maybe a hint of cloves and banana. Very malt-forward beer.

Bottle, which I believe came via Beer Hawk for Ben. Looks the part, big white head and cloudy amber colour. Bready, malty, low bitterness, hint of clove. Lacking bite of course but unfortunately just tastes a bit too much of unfermented wort. Not the best alcohol free option.

Pours yellow/brown and slightly opaque with a big white head. Quite savory compared to its peers, even boasts a gentle bitterness which makes it a very drinkable isotonic thirstquencher.

500ml bottle. Cloudy orange with a thick fluffy white head. Sweet, yeasty banana arome. Flavour is similar with cloves. Bit watery, but great as low alcohol beers go

Nice taste of bannanas cloves and bread. But the body really suffers from the no avb. Also lacks roundedness in tbe flavour. Still ratger tasty and an ok malt drink but far too sweet

Bottle from Tesco, Gateshead. Hazy pale straw coloured with a very large white head of foam. It has a toffee, lemon and banana flavour followed by a thin slightly spicy, zesty finish. Very good for the ABV.

Overall not a bad alcohol free beer, one of the better ones. Taste quite similar to Franziskaner wheat beer, more watery and a bit more malty.
