The Bavarian Purity Law came into effect in 1516. When Bavaria joined Prussia to become part of the German Empire (Deutsches Reich) in the unification of 1871, one of the conditions was that the Bavarian beer purity law apply to all of Germany. Since then it was known as the GERMAN purity Law (Deutsches Reinheitsgebot).

Incidentally, the Purity Law stated that only 3 ingredients may be used for beer: Water, Hops & Barley. Weissbeer also has Yeast added, so is in fact in violation of this law.

A really state of the art alcohol free Weizenbeer. Certainly in the day and age of no tolerance in regard to drinking and driving this beer is good in the alcohol free (almost) realm.

0,5l Flasche. Orangenes alkoholfreies Bier. Riecht etwas muffig, im Geschmack leicht süßlich ansonsten sehr flach.

With Fried potatoes, fried eggs and fried haddock. In Bavaria glass. Still the best low alcohol one Ive drunk.

I don’t understand why people rate this one so low and its alcoholic counterpart so high, even though they would score almost equal in a blind tasting. Pours hazy white golden with a thick white head. Aromas are mostly secondary: yeast, brioche, bread. Taste is fresh, mouth covering, full-bodied and persistent. Great alcohol free.

Každý at ochutná a udelá si obrázek sám.

W aromacie lekki nuty pszeniczne. Niezbyt intensywne. Raczej bananowe. W smaku typowy posmak bezalkoholowego piwa. Lekko kwaskowate. Dość pełne w odczuciu. Wysycenie niskie, przyjemnie się pije. Ogólnie jak na bezalkoholowe całkiem przyjemne.

cj_a (32) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 12, 2015
Cloudy golden colour. Large white head. Aromas of banana, bread, malt and grains. Medium body, light fizzy with some sweet flavours. Short finish.

HopfenWeisse (1558) - - JAN 22, 2015
Clear yellow golden color with huge head. Aroma is mostly metallic. Flavor is malt and cardboard.
