Okay, so this isn’t the greatest Hefeweizen, but its not bad either. Goes down fairly smooth with a bit of a banana bread like flavor.

This is pretty good. Those monks can make a mean beer! I like the flavor, and the aroma of it, very good indeed.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2007 This is one of my favorite Hefeweissbeer. The monks just know how to brew good beer! Traditional good old German beer. Cheers

Cloudy golden orange color. Big white creamy head. Some banana and citrus flavors. Musty, malty aromas. Very smooth.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2014 Lovely tight head. thick and foamy and lasting. Coudy orange appearance. Old banana smell/flavour. Yeasty/cloves ..and all the rest of the expected aromas are there. Nice mouthfeel indeed. Liked it to be bit darker but thats nitpicking. Nice on

On tap. Poured gold with white head. Aroma of citrus, nothing else. Taste was of citrus and sweet malt. Nothing really there.

Berlin Trip beer No.18. On draft and drunk sitting in the Monbijou Park. Nice fluffy head that quickly dissapated (it was 31oC out!) Hazey honey-orange colour, very pretty. Loads of lemon zest and lime juice, corriander and yeast combined with malt sweetness. Short finish. I’d like to try the bottled version because on this tasting I prefered the kristall version. But still a good hefe.

Cloudy pale orange, thick foamy white head. MIld banana-clove aroma. Flavor is the same, with a bit of citrus--nice wheaty finish. A bit too watery and weak though.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2007 Had this in Berlin at a nice little pub/cafe. Amazing flavor! I really recommend this! It went well with some currywurst too!
