Pours a cloudy orange with a nice white head. Immediately you’ll notice the sweet and sour balance and a citrus bananaesque yeasty taste. Lots of wheat as well, but it’s very sharp and refreshing like a hefe should be. I enjoyed this one, mostly because I was drinking it on a hot day! raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - MAY 29, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2007 This might be as basic as a hefe can be? A Warsteiner of hefeweizens. It’s yeasty, bananish and wheaty. Overall quite flat and lacks personality. Doesn’t really call for more. Re-rate: Not nearly as boring as I recalled. It’s a text book weizen alright, but a good one. Can’t go wrong with this one, no matter how basic it is. Bottle at Dæmningen - shared with Karen, Henning & Mette. Unclear orange - whie head. Elderflower, fruity, flowery, yeasty, banana, wheat, Medium cabonated. uvajed (188) - Ravenna, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2007
Cloudy and yellow, as expected, with a head that lasts a bit and leaves some lacing. Sort of sweet and sour, but not overly so. Citrus, yeast, and banana flavor notes. Not heavy or too carbonated, but not watered down either. It took me a minute to get past the bananas (a fruit I despise), but then that part ceased to stick out and I found this very enjoyable. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2007
Light pale gold in color with a soft white head. Big sweet banana ester nose. Flavor is sweet banana throughout with a light wheat flavor and crisp finish. Good beer, but a bit on the sweet side, sometimes you get these and they are nice and crisp, sometimes, like this one, they feel a bit flatter.

Bottle: Pours cloudy yellow. Fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, spice, the usual hefeweizen suspects. Orangy flavor, with a strong hit of bitterness over the somewhat sour base. For me, the citrusy notes dominate. Very little sweetness. Maybe a vague hint of spice, but it was weak. Good smooth feel in the mouth, though.
A decent one, but there’s better out there. rw4244 (134) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2007
Bottle 50cl. Poured a deep cloudy orange, with a good blooming white head. Pungent aroma of banana and cloves, vanilla and toffee. Quite sweet. Very tasty and refreshing, slightly bitter and quite sour flavour with hints of bubbl egum, wheat. Smooth full palate, slightly oily. All together an excellent hefe, tasty and refreshing. Recommended. StumpMe (30) - Bellingham, USA - MAY 23, 2007
Bottle. Aroma was bready. Appearance: fizzy carbonation, very hazy gold, good head retention with very light lacing, light/med body. There was a yeast bite in the finish, but the finish was short. I found this beer was similar to Paulaner. lucien (42) - ARGENTINA - MAY 23, 2007
Excellent beer. Golden colout, foamy head. Smell is fruity and yeast predominant on the taste. Also caramel. A lot of citric yeast in the aftertaste with fresh spicy notes. A beer to drink at any moment. oberabcbbsok (693) - Hoboken, BELGIUM - MAY 22, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2008 A nice German hefeweizen. Very fruity. Had it on bottle as well as from draft. The smell af yeast and fruit makes this a little better then average
