riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAY 1, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2007 Aroma of clove. Orange in color. Flavor is clove clovey and mildly banana. Very carbonated probably due to pastuerization. Spicy on the palate. Very large head. Ends smooth.

Orange glow, letting some light through. Dusty grass aroma with flashes of lemon. Concentrated banana flavor with green apple. Quite dry at first, with an odd, almost painful acetic flourish in the finish. Still a quaffable refresher.

Just the perfect beer! If I had to come up with the prototypical Bavarian wheat beer, this would be it. From a bottle poured into a weitzen glass, beautiful hazy golden color, and yes those are chucks of yeast floating about, with a great four finger head. Smell is bannanas with a touch of citrus, where the taste is the reverse, with a nice dry tangy finish. As with all good hefe-weitzens, this goes down super-smooth and easily makes it a great session beer.

Hazy orange beer with big head with aromanotes of hospital, yeast, banana and an example of a good mainstream Hefe-Bier. Flavor is similar, but needs some to reach Maisels.

I thought Hougaarden white had it all, but this one is even better. And in 50 cl bottles too.

Sampled at two Eastern League (AA) baseball parks, 04/19 @ Trenton, NJ & 04/21 @Reading, PA. Also had both ways, with and without a lemon wedge. Cloudy meduim body wheat beer with thick head and spice and citrus flavors. Very easy to drink, this was a solid wheat that for reasons beyond me I have not drank in at least six years.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 A pretty good Hef, but not as good as other German Hefs that I have tried. It pours a nice thick gold color with an inch head or more. Tastes good citrusy, but just not smooth tasting. I liked it though.

Commercial description seems pretty accurate. Yeasty, sweet and sour, citric, smooth full mouthfeel with carbonation bite and some hop on the palate. Refreshing and very tasty.

In my opinion the best of all the wheat beers. Pours a very nice orange\honey color. Very domanant yeast taste. Hints of citrus and a mild hop biterness. A great beer!!!!!!!

Wheat has grown on me quite a bit in the last year. I really like this beer, but found that the dunkel is much better, it is actually very good.
