I poured the bottle carefully because it was bottle conditioned and unfiltered. It poured a slightly cloudy golden liquid with a medium white creamy head that gradually dissipated. The lacing was quite nice. The aroma was classic wheat beer ... banana, vanilla, and citrus. The mouthfeel was quite smooth, almost velvety while the flavor started off with that sour-fruit taste that wheat beers are known for. The middle presented hints of clove and the finish was crisp, clean and dry. Juelze (1146) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 31, 2005
Not a bad hefe. Pours a hazy yellow with a large diminishing head. Very slight lacing. Aroma was a bit skunky. Made me think I was cracking open a Heinieken or Becks. Taste was of the style, clove and banana. Very well balanced. Was pretty smooth but the mouthfeel leaves something to be desired. Slight bitterness after the swallow. Not a bad beer but I’d go with Weihenstephaner or Paulaner for a nice Hefe. hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2005
Pours hazy pale yellow with a thick white head. Sweet caramel nose. Sweet rounded spicy flavour with segments of bananas. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 23, 2005
a great wiess beer. had this on tap the other night. nice citrus flavor --even with out the lemon twist. Jonathan3584 (323) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 22, 2005
Crisp spicy aroma. Murky beige body under a pure white head. Bubbly. Nice bits of yeast floating around. Sweet, fruitiness with a crisp finish. Not bad overall. I think mine could have done without the sun tan in the green bottle on the way from Germany.

A fairly representative hefeweiss, lots of bubbles, crisp clove and banana aroma. Decent milky amber appearance makes this a decent choice, but there are much better beers out there. Save your money and buy an ayinger or erdinger. ErictheRed18 (2) - Buckner, Missouri, USA - MAR 20, 2005 does not count
Too fruity for me, I prefer a bolder hefe-weiss. Pleasently crisp though and very little to no after taste made this beer drinkable for me. I would not serve this with anything heavy or seasoned though. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 19, 2005
Cloudy orange-yellow with a big white head. Yeast and orange aroma. Mild yeast and strong banana flavour. A good zesty and refreshing beer but with a short finish. carlitos99 (184) - The Big Apple, USA - MAR 16, 2005
This beer brings back memories of the early winter beer gardens in Munich. Great big head with a golden color, has hints of banana and citrus. A wonderful weissbeer. tobi98ab (32) - Taste of Beer, Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2005
Pours a golden weisse, with a somewhat thick head. Aroma is pleasent of wheat and fruitiness, mostly banana. Palate is some of the same, though with emphasis on wheat.
