An above average good german Weisbier. Its refreshing, but lacks a bit of temperment. It’s lazy, but still my daily favorite over a pilsner.

A bit boring, typical cloudy golden with white fine head. Nose was a bit skunky, mouth was watery, clean finish. I think I nedded a fresher one, unfortunately I still have four skuny ones. hmmm. Maybe I’ll revisit.

Another good hefeweizen beer, not as good as I was expecting. The initial flavor provides great complexity with warming depth. As the beer settles / warms, there’s diminished character. Flavors remain consistent, instead of wildly diverse and exciting. Recommended, but try enough other German offerings and you will be sure to find one much better.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2006 Bottle. Good gold color, decent head for the type. Lemon tinge below the hops. Odd aroma. Decent brew, but seemed a little lacking in overall balance. I guess I am just not a big Hef fan. Note: I drink this on draft this time in Eisenach, Germany . Very different from the bottle I drank before so maybe it was bad lat time. This time it was clean and a cloudy gold, with a big white head. Good nose, and very refreshing. Nice flavor of spices and fruit. I am re-rating this.

Excellent hefeweizen. Like all of that type, it’s quite heavy. Good aroma, great taste, very refreshing. Doesn’t need a lemon to survive, unlike others of its ilk.

Cloudy gold color with a medium size white head. Aroma of wheat, cloves and banana. Flavor of wheat, yeast, cloves, banana and citrus. Somewhat tart. Nice and refreshing.

Bottle. Golden colour, small white head. Odd wheat like aroma, slightly citrusy. Some malt base in taste with a crispy mouthfeel and a little hoppiness at the end, but otherwise, pretty average really - enjoyable, but not something I would reach for again. Thanks for sharing jercraigs.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2006 Hazy medium gold in colour. Clove and banana aroma, with perhaps a bit more weight on the clove side of things. Surprisingly rich texture and full flavors of vanilla, banana, clove, and yeast. Long lasting head too. Very nice indeed

Hazy amber with a weak white head. Sweet malty, wheaty, fruity aroma. Somewhat thin and light. Ther flavor is subtle hoints of wheat and yeast. So-so.

Clear color with branch glares. Dense foam and of long persistence. Intense taste with mildew aroma. Optimal.
