Dark golden clear colour with white head. Aroma is not strong, but it has a mix of biscuity malt and a bit of hops. Flavour has a firm bitterness that lingers in the finish. It does feel like more than 3.7 ABV.

A: Amber with a medium head N: Citrus and tree bark T: Quite bitter, citrus again and a long piney finish P: Light O: Nice session beer, almost spilling over into IPA territory.

34 cl bottle at the new brewery tap. I am not normally one for lighter beers but this is a 3.7% beer that tastes 4.7% and up - a great achievement in my book. Maybe it is the mature hopping - Southern Passion is a great hop when it is on form - but there has to be something in the brewing. English-style malt bashing? I don’t know. Either way, it’s a sign of a brewer of great potential.

Got a bottle from League of Beers through Yuppiechef. OVER carbonated, wow, nearly shot my finger off, I think my cat won’t return home for a few days... Palate and taste (thick & pasty mouthfeel) reminds me exactly of Tusker lager brewed in Kenya, I can’t like it. Banana esters should not be present in this beer. Such a let down for a pale ale... Great colour and head retention.

1st on this beer! Slightly weak aroma and taste and body. Not a bad beer though. Weak in ABV might make it less full in taste.
