Smooth DIPA. Slightly Piney and bitter, but had a nice mild flavor overall. Nothing amazing but excellent example of the style. Zeswaft (1773) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 22, 2016
Bottle. A classic 3-C IPA. Bountiful pine aroma and flavor. surprisingly smooth for 9.2%. Sizable caramel and bready malts keep things in check. Geraldusek89 (29) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 17, 2016
Buttery smooth beer from a historic brewery. Very happy to have tried some Free State beer.

The deScription above describes the aroma accurately. It is earthy like a Lagunitas IPA with a hint of sweetness. Great looking burnt orange color with a very sticky off white head. The taste is perfectly balanced. Hoppy but not bitter, again earthy and grassy with some sweetness in the aftertaste. Alcohol is hidden perfectly. The palate is ok, could have been slicker, that is the only aspect of this beer that is not great. Very well done by Free State, a brewery that continues to impress me. njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 14, 2015

My first brush with Free State Brewing and what a hell of a way to make an acquaintance. Boasting some of the most aggressive hop varieties, Cloud Hopper displays the complexities and nuances locked inside these highly acidic cones. Wet grass, pine, grapefruit zest, and herbal goodness. Mouthfeel is full, dry, and sticky. It’s not as bitter as it could be but still plenty bracing. Nice to meet you, Free State. HuskerTan (2201) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - AUG 25, 2015
A- Pine, bitter, resin.
A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Pine, bitter, resin, citrus.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish,
O- Definitely some hops in this one. Not hardcore but could use some more citrus for my taste. Travlr (24667) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 24, 2015
Draft at the Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Clear golden amber color, white head. Nice aroma of mixed summer fruit. Taste is fruity resin. Very drinkable for a DIPA. ddemmingjr (800) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - JUL 12, 2015
Bottle picked up in KC. Pours clear cooper with creamy head. Nose is dank pine, earth, herbal resins and some citrus. The Cs are noticeable. Flavor loaded with bitterness and malt backing sweetness along with some alcohol heat on the finish. Big pleasant DPA from Jayhawk country

Aroma has resin and citrus with a laundry/soapy twist. Color is amber, pours clear with minimal head and a slight lacing of white foam. Flavor has a light sweetness and medium bitterness with some sourness afterward. Texture has a medium body, with a thin feel, soft carbonation, and a moderately bitter, lasting finish. High ABV is noticeable but not overpowering although it seems to leave a bit of an antiseptic aroma -- or at least I think that’s where that is coming from.
