[Bottle] Amber in color, with a quickly receding fizzy foam head. Moderately hoppy aroma also features a decent malt backbone. Caramel sweetness and an average amount of floral hoppiness in the taste. Lingering malty sweetness is more dominant than the hop flavors. More of a hoppy amber ale in my mind. Tasting notes from 11/2011. Crash_the_dog (163) - Fairway, Kansas, USA - APR 16, 2014
Just a really solid classic microbrew IPA. Citrus and pine nose with a crisp flavor that just tastes like "beer".

tap. amber copper with small head. medium malt body with moderate hops. solid but unexceptional. Finhead (1770) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Clear, copper pour with an off-white head. It has an floral and light pine hop aroma with a touch of caramel. The medium body has a slightly oily texture with lively carbonation. The bittersweet taste builds to a more bitter finish that slowly melts away. This is a good anytime beer. DW78715816 (119) - Kansas, USA - FEB 16, 2014
It's good but not special. Really very average microbrew pale ale. Doesn't stand out.

Pint at Three Kings. Despite the name this is better classified as an IPA. It is very much hop forward. The appearance is hazed and coppery with a one finger layer of white foam that has good retention. It is not quite a classic west coast IPA but is definitely in that genre. Citrus that has a bite to it from the hops and that dominates. Lesser malt. A nice beer. seymour (2057) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - FEB 3, 2014
Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a nonic glass. Reddish amber colour with weak off-white foam and lots of chill haze. Caramel malt sweetness, predictable American C-hops. Light-medium body, average carbonation, grapefruity, hoppy aftertaste. True-to-style APA, not bad but nothing special nor memorable. BuckeyeBoy (7937) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 18, 2014
12oz Bottle thanks to Darrel. Pours out a copper topped with a small head. Nose is light hop floral and malt sweetness. Taste is a little grapefruit peel and a touch of sweetness. Pretty light on the hops. edgallow (4218) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 3, 2014

On tap at Shamrocks. Served a clear dark copper color with a nice head that fades slowly to good lacing. Aroma of citrus, malt sweetness with some caramel and grain. Taste of malt sweetness and caramel, citrus and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, crisp and refreshing, with a decent balance. Nice beer for the style, goes down quite easy.
