It poured a golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of grapefruit, some pine and of course some hops. The taste with citrusy, with of course the hops. A very good IPA.

From growler, purchased last night. Aroma of piney, earthy, fruity, resinous and faintly spicy hops, along with lightly sweet, honeyish, caramel malts and a hint of toasted bread. Clear light-medium amber color, head is fine and lasting. Flavor is full of fruity, citric, piney hops up front and lightly toasty, sweet caramel malts towards the back, meeting in the middle to provide excellent balance and drinkability, and with suggestions of bubblegum, lemon, faint hop spice and a touch of brown sugar at the finish. Smooth on the palate with a low-moderate degree of carbonation, body is medium. Yet another tasty and drinkable IPA from Free State. I recall the beer menu reporting this was brewed with Amarillo and Chinook hops, the Chinooks come through in the nose and the Amarillo shows more in the flavor profile. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JAN 22, 2012
On tap at brewery. Clear golden with no head. Sweet grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with citrus candy sugar notes. Not bad.
