Served at the Free State Beer Dinner, February 13, 2012. From supplied notes. Eight years in the making, this beer spent it’s first 6 years in a wine barrel before moving to kegs. The resulting beer is indeed very wine like, with oakey understones punctuated by soft acidity. Styrian Goldings hops add the slightest spiciness. OG 17.4 P/1.070 20 IBUs.
