Solid imperial stout. Aroma of roasted malts and oak. Deep dark color with a nice tan head. Filling body with plenty of weight. Average carbonation. Roasted flavor with a balancing bitterness. After flavors of dark chocolate. Alcohol was well-hidden. Good representation of the style. PhilJackson80 (531) - Oklahoma, USA - AUG 9, 2014
12 oz bottle. Tasted on 8/9/14. Beer from Beertopia. The beer pours to medium dark black color with a light tan head. The aroma has some dark fruit & chocolate, with some licorice. The taste is medium in body & has a medium complexity to it. Overall a pretty good stout.

Bottle from trade. Pours coca cola black with an off white head that falls quickly. Alright, so this is basically a black IPA. Aroma is citrus, caramel and smoked malts, flavor follows nose. A bit of molasses tempers the grassy bitterness in the finish. bytemesis (9190) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 28, 2014
Bottle with thanks to RobertDale. Pours opaque black with a large pillowy beige head that slowly dissipates leaving picture perfect lacing on the glass. Aroma is nothing special, lots of roasted malts, coffee, ashtray, a bit of cocoa, bitter on the nose. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, citrus and pine hops; this one is pushing toward black IPA for sure. Roasty, with coffee and malt notes, no real chocolate in the taste. Medium light body, creamy mouthfeel, a bit chalky perhaps. Lots of lingering citrus hops. Black IPA, and a good one. rxeight (3243) - Illinois, USA - APR 2, 2014
Extra from robertdale. Thanks for the continuous hookup. This is a hoppy ass imperial stout. Aroma is more black IPA. Has a somewhat thin body for an imperial. Pine hops and roast. Tasty stuff.

Bottle received in trade from RobertDale, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a solid black with a decent sized creamy tan head that displays moderate retention, and minimal lace. Aromas of earthy spicy minty hops atop a base of coffee, chocolate and caramel with a touch of ethanol to round things out. The taste is solid roasted coffee, caramel, and chocolate with a huge earthy minty herbal hop flavor. Moderate hop bitterness. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation, and a sweet somewhat sticky and oily mouthfeel. This is an interesting imperial stout for sure. The late hop choices are certainly unconventional, but I kind of enjoyed this beer. The body might be a tad thin for an imperial but it doesn’t distract me too much. jtclockwork (17254) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Bottle thanks to RobertDale. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of cocoa, flaked oats, grassy hops, creamed coffee, toasted chocolate and vanilla. Some toasted cracker malt. Medium body. jmikolich (1486) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2013
12oz bottle, I don’t think I’d complain if this was my local stout but I wouldnt love it like I love blackout stout. your standard imperial stout, some hints of dark sweet fruit hits me, the finish is smooth and light roast/smoke. kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2013
