UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle - thanks Brandon! Deep cola to brown pour with a small head. Licorice and cocoa in the aroma and taste. Medium body. Good stuff! oneeighthcuban (106) - - APR 18, 2013
Smells mostly of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate smells. Taste has a hint of hop bitterness at the finish, but not overwhelming. Mouthfeel and carbonation are very smooth.

Bottle from a trading partner, pours a dark brown coffee with a thin tan head. Aroma is anise, coffee and malt. Taste is a little coffee and some chocolate, light bitterness, not overly complex, decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - APR 2, 2013
Nice appearance - has quite a bit of head and lots of lacing. Aroma a bit weak for an impy - not much beyond some cocoa. Surprisingly light-bodied as well - I would not expect this to be an impy based on mouthfeel - it seems more like a regular stout. Mostly cocoa flavors with some bitterness - not getting the coffee notes so common to this style. Overall, it’s not a bad beer, but it does not have the bolder, more complex flavors typical of impy stouts. SudsMcDuff (8462) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2013

Bottle at RBWG 2013. Pours black-brown with a fine, beige cream head. Basic dark malt nose, some earth, dry cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, some further earthy bitterness, burnt bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, pretty bitter, some earth, burnt grass, bittersweet cocoa. Not too sweet. Decent. Pours a deep almost black with a creamy tan head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, toffee, nuts, dark chocolate and hints of coffee. Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, toffee and dark chocolate. AcctError96987 (3723) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad!
The beer is dark brown with a long lasting beige head that leaves random traces of lacing on the glass. The aroma offers dark roast, malt. The flavor brings hints of coffee and finishes dry, with notes of bitter chocolates. While I wasn’t blown away by this, I thought this was a decent beer. Worth a try.
