Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of lightly sweet, pale malts, honey, cracker, herbal and grassy hop, very light touch of fruitiness in the background which I find in a lot of really good Pilsners. Faintly hazy light amber in color with a very slight, fading head and traces of lace. Some lightly bready, sweet, toasty malt and green, grassy herbal hop flavor with moderate bitterness late, drying out to a large extent before the end. Mildly effervescent and semi-dry on the palate, body is light-medium. Good! Very nicely balanced overall and incredibly drinkable, this was practically gone before I could even rate it. ads135 (4727) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 1, 2015
A very nice lager. Light and mellow. Light hop crispness at the end, but nothing overwhelming. Hay and light lemon. RobertDale (6565) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Growler from the brewpub. Pours a hazy light gold with an average biege head. Aroma of malt, grass and hops. Taste is malt and grassy hops. Haven’t had the filtered version. This is very good. Gregis (1281) - Stilwell, Kansas, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Shaker at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a creamy off-white head and sheeting lace. The nose is of pils malt and grassy, hay-like and slightly floral hops. Light-bodied without being thin, the palate is soft and grainy with a moderately bitter finish; not as crisp as the filtered version of this beer, but it’s still nice. Pleasantly bitter and quite tasty, the flavor follows the nose: solid pils malt with grassy hops. My first unfiltered pilsner; I’ll be looking for more.
