On tap at The Malted Barley. Pours a typical brown color & has no head & leaves no lacing. The taste has some coffee upfront but finishes pretty boozy & kind of flat. Aroma is similar. Malts, coffee and that roasty/toastiness that is common in browns are present. Palate is a little heavier w/ the alcohol standing out. Overall good but not great. Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a sturdy dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace to leave some light lace running around the sides of the glass fairly nice.
The aroma had a nice blended of roasted coffee, sweet oats/grains, some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, touch of vanilla, caramel, nuts, sweet wood and a touch of Irish coffee creamer at the end.
The flavor leaned slightly to the sweet side allowing the roast to make a strong effort to come in for a balance but stays just a pinch behind. Aftertaste was a fully strong coffee sweet and roastiness. The finish was long, smooth, malty and sweet.
The palate was about medium bodied with a good carbonation and ABV. Nice smoothness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, pretty good brown ale that I would like to come back to if I could get it again. TBone (18217) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 20, 2017
Tap at The Brazen Head, Brooklyn. Dark brown color, small steady off-white head. Aroma has caramel a.d coffee. Medium-bodied. Sweetish flavor has strong cold coffee and caramel. Low bitterness. A bit too simple for being 8%. Dfonorow (2274) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 24, 2016
On tap. Pour is translucent brown with no head. Aroma and flavor of all coffee and maybe a touch of caramel. Tastes more like coffee than beer. Funknmilla (751) - WAYNE, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2016
12 oz bottle. Pours caramel with a small tan head. Strong malty boozy scent. I sip...it has an essense of Patron XO. Boozy coffee. Im hoping it mellows out a bit as it warms up....it does not.

Bottle to shaker glass pours hazy reddish brown. Two finger khaki head that laced and retained scantly. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. The taste has a huge sweetness that’s slightly cold coffee bitter, which I hate normally but love here. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, silky mouth feel. Finishes slightly sweet then
dries nicely. Tasting notes: caramel, hall & oats, coffee, bitter dark chocolate..guys...fan. beastiefan2k (4082) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - OCT 25, 2016
12oz bottle. Ruby brown color. Too thick to see thru. Aroma does have coffee and some moderate sweet malts with fruit accents. I feel like I smell oats as well. Coffee is light in flavor. A not very coffee, coffee beer. A ligt bitterness at end of flavor. Fizzy, mineral finish. I see a noncoffee coffee beer here. RobertDale (6847) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - OCT 16, 2016
On tap. Comes a dark reddish brown with a small khaki head. Aroma of coffee and malt. Taste is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, and some dark fruit. Enjoyable. mcberko (18949) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 8, 2016
On tap at Rattle n Hum - East, pours an amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out very nicely toasted espresso beans, not much else. Flavour isn’t as nice as the aroma, with notes of espresso, light roast, and some burnt oats. Nicely constructed but a little too burnt. Solid.Flavour burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - FEB 8, 2016
Poured a deep amber red color with aromas of roast and coffee nothing else. Flavors are roast and green peanuts and coffee solid overall I like this one.
