delightful whiffs of java immediately smack you on the nose. The full-bodied beautyís bitter java characteristics are balanced out by the honeyed notes of molasses, which makes this low-carb brown one Iíd regularly revisit. - bbeezer51 (5) - - DEC 18, 2013 does not count
Now this is a real coffee beer. First whiff and you are captured by its uniqueness....well done. katrinaez (1931) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2016 Has to be a top ranking beer again. Only coffee tastes more like coffee. Deep and almost imperial style in flavor. Bitter notes as if biting in the beans themselves. Tap and bottle MarkSachon (1009) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2014
12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. This is one of the best browns youíll find anywhere. Donít miss it if you find it in your neck of the woods. joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 5, 2016
Bottle to shaker glass pours hazy reddish brown. Two finger khaki head that laced and retained scantly. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. The taste has a huge sweetness thatís slightly cold coffee bitter, which I hate normally but love here. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, silky mouth feel. Finishes slightly sweet then
dries nicely. Tasting notes: caramel, hall & oats, coffee, bitter dark chocolate..guys...fan.

Aromas of coffee with a hint of chocolate and cocoa. Brown caramel color. Tastes like an iced coffee in winter minus the sugar and cream - delicious. Light bodied for an oatmeal but smooth and tasty stuff. Could easily drink this all day if not for the ABV 8.3%. This is one to keep a small stock on hand. closey22 (1918) - Mt. Cloudy sexy reddish brown with rimming beige head; aroma is very coffeeish and notes if chocolate; Flava is coffee subtly spiced with pepper(chipotle?)mand sweet chocolatey backgroud; feels medum-light silky with decent fizz; finishes dry yet sweetish with notes roasty coffee and tangy malt obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 10, 2015
Really nice brown ale from a new brewery for me. This is the first offering Iíve sampled from Free Will, and it was extremely delicious! This brown ale had a Guinness-type pour on the nitro at Craft Ale House. The body settled to a reddish-brown color with a tan head. The nose was smoky and roasty and the flavors were very unique. I tasted plenty of coffee, some vanilla, grassy and bitter hops and some oats. This is a very unique and different beer and very delicious and enjoyable! Well done! Draft at Holy Hound. Hazy brown color. Intense cocoa powder aroma. Taste is burnt licorice, burnt espresso, chocolate. Nice. BREWMUSKCLES (2673) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 9, 2014
nice mouthfeel real liquid and smooth with a little syrup. good stronger flavor of coffee with the cream and sugar and bit of roast, yet still beery enough and not all hoppy or malty to as if a mish mash brew. bit of vanilla rum in the flavor mostly alcohol and perhaps almond.
