Draft at Cedar Point. Pours a deep, murky reddish brown with small white head that quickly dissipates and some light lace. Nose of caramel, dark fruit, light roasted malt. Medium body, some hop bitterness but no good hop flavors. Malt bomb - caramel and roast with a bitter finish.
Pours a coppery amber with beige lacing. Smells of malt and that’s about it. Tastes the same, malty especially for an IPA. Some citrus hops. It’s ok. ElCapitan22 (363) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Pours a cloudy amber color. It has decent head retention and excellent lacing. Tastes of malt and hops with a background hit of honey. A decent beer but nothing to write home over. Travlr (26070) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Draft at Al’s. Clear amber color, medium white head. Aroma of bright fruit, caramel. Taste is earthy and very fruity. Tasty stuff. BeerandBlues2 (13810) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 2, 2014
Tap at Al’s of Hampden. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is toast and cookie malt, dates and earthy, pine hops with tropical fruity esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, sweet cookie malt, fruity esters and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation. ganache (6054) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Bottle. Nose is doughy with strong caramel and light spice, citrus and tropical leaning fruit, low level of pine, but mostly that sweet, lovely cookie dough character that pulls every last inch of complexity out of the hops. Pours mostly amber with some golden and copper, a dense beige head. Fullish body, boozy but not burny, lots of alcohol present but it’s somewhat smooth; very sweet without cloying out the lights, medium bitterness but not nearly enough to balance. There is some malt complexity in the caramel and toffee, thin citrus and mild paint thinner. All in all, goes down easy despite the flaws and is enjoyable despite the heavy middle and dull finish.

I love what Free Will has been putting out, but this does not impress. Entirely too malt heavy with faint hoppiness. Don’t get me wrong, there is bitterness, but nothing distinct. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2014
Intensely complex is right. So many dimensions to this one...I don’t know where to go first. Primarily, it is hoppy. Earthy, fruity, maybe slightly toasted. No. It is definitely burnt. Love that. A subtle chocolate/toffee touch takes this beaut to another level. A certain caramel sweetness gives it good balance. dmac (6458) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 8, 2014
12oz bottle from Spirits Rt 166. Poured an unimpressive dirty orange brown body under a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma is sweet wort, caramel, toffee, raisins, breads, very light citrus. Medeium body, chalky, lingering aftertaste, nice carbonation. Flavor is better than the aroma. Notes of dirty citrus, lemony, tropical fruit rinds, some rotting fruit, bad bread. Nejhleader (1574) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2014
has a nice mild pine hop aroma. Taste is a bit of some nice caramel hop taste with some caramel. a solid body, hides abv well. jsmerig (1666) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 10, 2014
Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a tan head. Aroma of scotch and malt. Taste is smokey and peppery with a large hop presence. The bitterness lingers.
