The best Russian Imperial Stout I've ever had. Dark, smooth, delicious. Schwarzbart (323) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2018
12oz bottle. Pours a small brownish-tan head. Black and fairly thick looking. Full body with ample, creamy carbonation. Big maltiness, roasty notes, chocolate, faint black licorice and bourbon. Good, but bourbon is barely detectable.

Bottle from I forgot who. Pours opaque black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is roast and cocoa. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, roasty, light bourbon notes are an accent, not a spotlight. Cocoa and molasses round things out. Full body. A bit harsh when push comes to shove. gripweed57 (3055) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - DEC 30, 2017
Tap at Peddler's Village Tastingroom in Lahaska, PA. 16.7% ABV. Dense, opaque black color. Brief tan head. Oakey, dark chocolate notes in nose. Wow, this is huge. Intense meld of bittersweet chocolate, burnt caramel and dark dried fruit. Big bourbon notes and plenty of warming alcohol. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. A monsterous RIS. Draft at Hunger-N-Thirst in Lancaster. Black and dark brown head. Ooh wee, big and bourbon-y. I didn't know I was getting a BA Impy Stout. And this is definitely a BA BOURBON IMPERIAL stout. It's decadent in its richness. However, it's not tooth achingly sweet, the malts are not overdone or stale and old tasting. It's like a rich alcoholic dessert layered atop a decent stout. I love the bigness done well Goodgrief (2083) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - AUG 28, 2017
On tap at Pinocchio’s. I had high hopes, man. Dark pour, brown hue. The soy leaps from the nose. Bourbon, licorice, mild cocoa...and SOY. Not my favorite flavor in a beer, not gonna lie. It’s not overpowering, because there’s a lot of bourbon. A lot. But still. bhensonb (16146) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 1, 2017
Bottle from Modern Liquorts in D.C. Pours very dark brown with a slight, transient dark tan head. Aroma is sort of chocolate, treacle and bourbon. Full bodied. Mind almost went on an out of body trip. Amazing. Flavor is aroma plus a definite soy sauce thing. Gosh all dangies, if I can get a bottle to take home, I’ll be sure to get it involved with sushi. Suddenly realized the ABV. Whoosh. Heat is not noticeable until you remember the ABV. This is out of the ballpark, in any number of ways. djd07 (16465) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is bourbon, oak, roast, licorice, tobacco. Medium body, roast, dark chocolate, tobacco, wood, boozy finish, dry, very good. italianjohn (3344) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2017
